豊田東名ライオンズクラブは、3月27日から31日の5日間、姉妹クラブであるフィリピン・サガイシティカビガハンライオンズクラブを訪問し、交流会を開催いたしました。
実質3日間の交流となりましたが、カビガハンライオンズクラブの皆さまには各所をご案内いただき、また当クラブの先輩方が現地で取り組まれているアクティビティも見学することができました。
滞在中は、ナビガア山での植林活動をはじめ、VITO高校の校舎建設予定地の視察、サガイ国立高校の訪問など、教育・環境分野における現地の取り組みを直接学ぶ貴重な機会となりました。
さらに、サガイ市長への表敬訪問も行い、地域の課題や今後の交流の可能性について意見交換をさせていただきました。
From March 27 to 31, the Toyota Tomei Lions Club visited its sister club, the Philippines Sagay City Kabigahan Lions Club, and held an exchange meeting. While the exchange meeting was held for three days, the Kabigahan Lions Club members guided us around various places and we were able to observe the activities that our senior club members engage in locally.
During our stay, we had valuable opportunities to directly learn about local initiatives in the fields of education and the environment, including tree-planting activities on Mount Naviga, inspecting the planned construction site of VITO High School, and visiting Sagay National High School. Additionally, we visited a courtesy to meet the Mayor of Sagay City, and we exchanged opinions about local challenges and the possibilities for our future exchanges.
