It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Sonny Rollins. The Saxophone Colossus died this afternoon at his home in Woodstock, NY at the age of 95. “I think when the creative person ends, he continues in the next existence. I’m a person who believes this life isn’t the be-all and end-all of everything. A spiritual person doesn’t feel like that.” –S.R. (2009)

我々の演奏にあたりイベントの運営をしてくださった高槻JS関係者の皆様本当にありがとうございました！
今年も楽しく演奏させて頂きました。

今年はビッグバンドでの出演もあり鳥取大学Jazz&Fusion研究会の現役学生・OBを含む大所帯で高槻に向かいました！

雨や強風のため大変なこともありましたが、色々な方の助けを借りて何とか全員で本番を乗り切りました。
会場に聴きに来てくださった方ありがとうございました。
次は鳥取での我々の演奏を聴いていただければと思います！！

Jazzイベントの先輩である高槻JSに倣って鳥取JAZZもますますイベントを盛り上げて行けるように精進して参ります！引き続き応援の程よろしくお願いします。

ARTISTS, 🧑‍🎨 TAP YOUR INSPIRATION: The Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation is pleased to announce a call for poster design submissions for the 2026 Detroit Jazz Festival (September 4-7, 2026).

This call 📣 offers professional artists at any stage in their career the opportunity to submit one to two original poster examples. Must live in Metro Detroit; must be 18 years or older. The selected artist will receive an award of $2,000, two Opening Night Party invitations, and an opportunity to be recognized at the Detroit Jazz Festival.
