真実を語ることには、時に代償があります。マルコ6章で、バプテスマのヨハネはヘロデ王の罪をはっきりと指摘しました。ヘロデはヨハネが正しい人だと知っていましたが、人々の目や自分の立場を気にして、彼を殺す決断をしてしまいます。真実は、私たちの罪やプライド、間違った考えを明らかにするため、受け入れにくいものです。

それでも、私たちは真実を語るように招かれています。ただし、言い争いに勝つためでも、自分の正しさを証明するためでもありません。イエスが真理であり、福音には人を罪から救う力があるからです。柔和さと敬意を持ち、自分が経験した神様の恵みを伝え、語る真理にふさわしく生きていきましょう。今週のメッセージをぜひチェックしてください。

Speaking the truth can cost us something. In Mark 6, John the Baptist confronts King Herod about his sin. Herod knows John is righteous and even likes listening to him, but pressure, pride, and fear of losing face lead him to make a terrible decision. Truth can be difficult to accept because it exposes our guilt, challenges our desires, and confronts the way we see the world.

Even so, Jesus calls us to speak the truth. Our goal is not to win an argument or prove that we are right. We speak because Jesus is the truth and the gospel has the power to rescue people from sin. We can speak with gentleness and respect, share how God has changed our own lives, and live in a way that reflects the truth we proclaim. 私たちは、自分の力で何とかしようとしてしまうことがよくあります。しかし、イエスは弟子たちを遣わす前に、「自分ではなく、わたしにより頼むこと」を教えられました。このメッセージでは、マルコ6章1から13節を通して、イエスの権威に信頼すること、自分のアイデンティティをキリストに置くこと、そして拒絶されてもつまずかず歩み続けることを学びます。神は完璧な人を求めているのではなく、神に信頼する人を用いられます。あなたが今向き合っている状況の中で、神により頼むことの大切さを一緒に考えていきましょう。

We naturally want to rely on our own abilities, but before Jesus sent His disciples into ministry, He first taught them to depend completely on Him.
