【 信越連絡部 浜空会慰霊祭 参列 】
4月5日（日）、神奈川県横浜市金沢区・富岡総合公園内、浜空神社跡地において、浜空会主催の横浜海軍航空隊戦歿者慰霊祭に、当会中田常任理事および天谷信越連絡部長以下10名が参列しました。
同隊は、当会の所管地域であるビスマーク・ソロモン諸島のツラギ島方面に派遣され、主として哨戒任務に従事、昭和17年8月7日の米海兵隊上陸により総員玉砕しました。本年も神職様ご奉仕のもと、参列者一同、338柱の御霊に対し安らかならんことを祈念いたしました。
慰霊祭の後、横浜南部の戦争遺跡を記録する会代表の葛城 峻 様より「二式大艇カムバック！」と題して、九州鹿屋の露天展示から横浜市富岡に残る旧海軍横浜航空隊第3格納庫で永久保存する活動のお話を伺いました。
また、遺骨帰還事業にご理解のある海上自衛隊第4航空群司令部首席幕僚（US2大型飛行艇パイロット）や先任伍長の皆さまも参列されました。

【 Shinetsu Liaison Unit: Attendance at the Hamakukai Memorial Service 】
On Sunday, April 5, at the former site of Hama Air Shrine located within Tomioka General Park in Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama (Kanagawa Prefecture), ten members—including our Executive Board Member Ms.Nakada and the Director of Shinetsu Liaison Unit Mr. Amagai—attended the memorial service for the war dead of the Yokohama Naval Air Group, hosted by the Hamakukai Association.
This unit was deployed to the Tulagi area in the Bismarck and Solomon Islands region, which falls within our association’s area of activity. Engaged primarily in patrol missions, the entire unit was annihilated following the landing of U.S. Marines on August 7, 1942. This year as well, under the officiation of Shinto priests, all participants offered prayers for the repose of the 338 enshrined spirits.
Following the memorial service, Mr. Shun Katsuragi, representative of an organization dedicated to documenting war heritage sites in southern Yokohama, delivered a talk titled “Type 2 Flying Boat Comeback!” He spoke about ongoing efforts to relocate the aircraft from its open-air display in Kanoya, Kyushu, and preserve it permanently in the former Yokohama Naval Air Group’s No. 3 hangar, which still remains in Tomioka, Yokohama.
Also in attendance were the Chief of Staff of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force’s 4th Air Group Headquarters (a pilot of the US-2 large amphibious aircraft), as well as the Command Senior Enlisted personnel, all of whom have shown understanding and support for the repatriation of war remains.
