「人こそが人を支援できる」を理念に、災害に強い社会作りに取組む公益法人です。東日本大震災をうけて2011年に設立。これまでに海外32ヶ国・国内88地域での被災地支援を実施し、災害支援現場で一緒に活動したボランティアの数は延べ11万人超える（2025年3月時点の延べ数）。国内外で被災地の支援活動を実施し、災害ボランティア育成や防災・減災教育なども行っています。 English is below.

1995年の阪神・淡路大震災以来、国内外で災害支援活動を実施してきた国際NGOピースボートの「国境を越えた災害支援は、地域や世界の平和つくる」との想いと経験を受け継ぎ、東日本大震災支援を契機に災害支援を専門とする団体を設立。以来、日本と世界各地で発生した災害に対して、多岐にわたる支援活動を実施しています。これまでに海外31ヶ国、国

内54地域での被災地支援を実施し、災害支援現場で一緒に活動したボランティアの数は延べ10万人を超えます。
平時には行政や社会福祉協議会、企業、学校などで防災・減災教育や災害ボランティアトレーニングを実施しています。地域の災害レジリエンス（対応力・回復力）を高める事業を推進し、目的に合わせた研修や訓練をこれまで約1,000回、受講人数は延べ3万5千人以上にのぼります。

Peace Boat Disaster Relief (PBV) has inherited the philosophy of “disaster relief beyond borders contributes to creation of regional and global peace” and experiences of its related organization, NGO Peace Boat which had engaged in disaster relief efforts in Japan and overseas since the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake in 1995. The PBV (formerly known as Peace Boat Disaster Volunteer Center) was founded by NGO Peace Boat in April 2011, immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, as an expert organization specialized in disaster relief, and has carried out diverse relief projects in 54 communities across Japan and 31 countries since then.

【熊本地震：現地より [Kumamoto Earthquake: From the Field]

今も広い範囲で断水が続く、八代市。水がない。というのは、本当に多くの不便が生じます。給水車をあちこちで見かけますし、災害用の井戸も見かけます。

断水の解消を待ち望んでいますが、今日・明日の復旧は難しく、今月いっぱいかかるといわれています。そのため、手軽に水分を取れるペットボトル飲料の需要も引き続きあります。

八代市内の小学校を訪れると、避難所運営されている方々が笑顔で迎えてくださりました。日が暮れても暑さが残る中、飲料水を中心とした物資の受け入れをお手伝いいただき、ありがとうございました。

In Yatsushiro City, water outages continue across a wide area. The lack of water causes a great deal of inconvenience. I see water trucks everywhere, as well as emergency wells.

We are eagerly awaiting the restoration of water service, but it’s unlikely to be resolved today or tomorrow; it’s said it will take the rest of the month. As a result, there continues to be demand for bottled beverages, which provide a convenient way to stay hydrated.

When I visited an elementary school in Yatsushiro City, the staff running the evacuation center welcomed me with smiles. Even as the sun set and the heat lingered, they helped me unload supplies—primarily drinking water—and I am very grateful for their assistance.

熊本県内に複数の施設を持たれている福祉施設シラサギさまへ、ポータブルトイレ「ラップポン」12台の導入と、職員の方々への配食を実施しました。

ラップポンは、水を使わず、熱圧着によって排泄物を1回毎にラップ（個包装）して密封するポータブルトイレです。断水が続いている各施設へと配置いただく予定です。

皆さま大変ななか、あたたかなメッセージをいただきました。

「野菜たっぷりの中華丼を55食いただき、数に余裕がありましたので、近隣の小規模施設さんにもお配りさせていただきました。

スタッフからは、久しぶりにおにぎり以外のものを食べた、美味しい、涙が出る、という声が上がっておりました。
発災から10日、温かい食事がこれほど力になるものかと、あらためて感じました。」

We delivered 12 “RapPon” portable toilets to Shirasagi, a social welfare organization operating multiple facilities in Kumamoto Prefecture, and provided meal deliveries to their staff.
RapPon is a portable toilet that uses no water; instead, it uses heat sealing to wrap and seal waste in individual bags after each use. We plan to deploy these units to facilities where water supplies remain cut off.
Despite the difficult circumstances, we received heartwarming messages from everyone.

Ten days after the disaster, I was reminded once again just how much strength a warm meal can provide.”

【熊本地震：炊き出し支援[Kumamoto Earthquake: Meal Distribution Support]】*English follows.

炊き出し支援は、キッチンカー「FOOBOUR（フーバー）」を利用しており、猛暑の中でも衛生的にお届けできます。

8月3日に403食の夕食（避難所：50食、地域住民：353食）、
8月4日に460食の夕食をお手渡ししました。

この「フーバー」は、平常時はひとり親家庭へ食の支援を、そして、災害時には被災地での食の支援（炊き出し等）を実現するプロジェクトです。2024年8月に佐賀県大町町、2025年10月に石川県輪島市、2026年7月に愛媛県宇和島市にて運用を開始しました。
今回の熊本地震においても、現地での食事提供や生活物資の配布を実施してまいります。

【現地（熊本）より[From the Field (Kumamoto)]】*English follows.

熊本県氷川町の避難所にてお話を伺いました。

避難所からおよそ50m。画像の通り、仮設トイレが設置されていました。そして避難所の中にも古いながらもトイレがあります。

トイレ自体はあるのです。

しかし、
「避難所の90歳を超える方にとっては、都度50m移動するのも、古いトイレを使うのもとても大変なんです」とお住民の方から教えていただきました。

どのようにしてこのトイレ問題を解決できるか？　を、ともに考えるのも活動のひとつです。そしてこの避難所だけでなく、他の避難所、そして在宅避難されている方々ともお話しさせていただき、寄り添い続ける支援を実施していきます。

We spoke with people at an evacuation center in Hikawa Town, Kumamoto Prefecture.

About 50 meters from the evacuation center, as shown in the photo, temporary toilets had been set up. There are also toilets inside the evacuation center, though they are old.

So, there are toilets available.

However,
“For residents over 90 years old at the evacuation center, walking 50 meters every time they need to use the restroom—and using the old toilets—is extremely difficult,” a resident told us.

One aspect of our work is to work together to figure out how to solve this restroom issue. We will continue to provide supportive assistance not only at this evacuation center but also by speaking with people at other evacuation centers and those sheltering in their own homes.

8月4日も、引き続き熊本県八代市松高コミュニティセンターで炊き出し支援を実施し、460食をお渡しいたしました。

暑いなか並んでくださった方、お手伝いくださった方、みなさま本当にありがとうございました！

今後も、県内で継続して炊き出し支援を行っていく予定です。

PBVでは、災害支援や防災・減災に取り組む「サポスタ（PBVサポートスタッフ登録制度）」を募集しています。

災害発生直後に混乱する現場では、志があっても「何をすればいいかわからない」「準備が整っていない」状態であることでかえって現場の負担になってしまうケースも少なくありません。

そこで「サポスタ」では、事前に公式LINEへ登録いただくことで、被災地支援や研修の案内が届き、実際に活動へ参加する際は事前にオリエンテーションを受けていただきます。これにより、経験の有無は問わず、初めての方も専門性を活かしたい方も、自分に合った形で活動ができます。

今後、災害ボランティアを募集する際にはこちらの「サポスタ」でも案内いたします。また「サポスタ」では、災害支援の現場での活動だけでなく、平時には支援力を高めるための防災研修などもおこないます。

【熊本地震：佐賀から食材を乗せてフーバーが熊本へ向かいます [A FOOBOUR Food Truck is heading from Saga to Kumamoto, loaded with food supplies.]】*English follows.

熊本の被災地に向けて、「いつでもどこでも食の支援を」をテーマに掲げるプロジェクト「FOOBOUR（フーバー）」のキッチンカーを派遣しています。

愛知県を出発したフーバーは、佐賀で食材を載せて熊本へ。
本日より、熊本県内にて食事の提供や物資の提供などを実施していきます。

＝＝FOOBOUR（フーバー）とは＝＝

キッチンカーを活用し、平常時はひとり親家庭へ食の支援を、そして、災害時には被災地での食の支援（炊き出し等）を実現するプロジェクトです。2024年に佐賀県大町町、2025年10月に石川県輪島市、2026年に愛媛県宇和島市にて運用を開始しました。
今回の熊本地震においても、現地での食事提供や生活物資の配布を実施してまいります。

PBVスタッフは連日手分けして、熊本県内にて調査や物資配布などをおこなっております。

8月2日朝時点に発表されている被災状況では、孤立集落はありませんが、高速道路の通行止めは２路線９区間（国土交通省）。郵便も停止しており、車がない方などは食料を得るのも困難があります。

しかしまだ情報が少なく、現場を歩いて一つひとつ集める情報が非常に重要です。

どこでどういった方が困っているのか。
支援が漏れている地域がないか。

関係機関や支援団体と連携しながら的確に把握し、情報共有をおこない、状況とニーズに対して最適な支援を進めていきます。
