BWC Report : 蛍雪学園での子供たちのクリスマスパーティー Children's Christmas at Keisetsu Gakuen by 遠藤ちさChisa Endo

私達の Because We Care group では、23年もの間、クリスマスチャリティの収益金をフィリピンと日本の、児童福祉施設で暮らす子どもたちに寄付して参りましたが、2025年は、皆さまのあたたかなご支援により、千葉県にある児童福祉施設「蛍雪学園」にて生活する36名の子どもたちと、日々子どもたちを支えていらっしゃる職員の皆さまへ、クリスマスケーキと、子どもたちからのリクエストによるプレゼントを無事にお届けすることができました。
蛍雪学園は、さまざまな事情により家庭での生活が難しい子どもたちが、安心して日常を過ごせるよう、生活面・学習面・心のケアを大切にしながら、子どもたち一人ひとりに寄り添った支援を行っている児童福祉施設です。職員の皆さまは、日々の暮らしの中で子どもたちの小さな変化に目を配りながら、将来へとつながる土台づくりを丁寧に続けておられます。
当日は、私たちの到着を、子どもたちがクリスマスソングの歌声と、元気いっぱいのダンスで迎えてくれました。その無邪気でまっすぐな表現に、場の空気が一気に和らぎ、心が温かくなるひとときとなりました。
また、子どもたちがサンタクロースに宛てて書いた、クリスマスプレゼントのリクエストカードも拝見させていただきました。蛍雪学園では毎年、子どもたち一人ひとりの想いを大切にしながら、可能な限り希望に沿ったプレゼントを準備し、サンタクロースが届けているとのことです。
カードには、それぞれの個性や素直な気持ちがあふれており、職員の皆さまのあたたかな関わりと、長年大切に続けられてきた取り組みを感じることができました。
子どもたちはケーキを喜んで、嬉しそうな表情を見せてくれ、笑顔と笑い声があふれる、心あたたまるクリスマス会となりました。クリスマス会の終わりに、子どもたちひとりひとりが、ありがとうございましたと伝えに来てくれました。
今回お届けした支援は、子どもたちのクリスマスの思い出づくりだけでなく、日々の生活や学びを支えるためにも活用していただいています。

For the past 23 years, the Because We Care group has donated the proceeds of our Christmas Charity to children living in children’s welfare facilities in the Philippines and Japan.
In 2025, thanks to the warm support of many people, we were able to deliver Christmas cakes and gifts requested by the children to 36 children living at Keisetsu Gakuen, a children’s welfare facility in Chiba Prefecture, as well as to the dedicated staff members who support the children in their daily lives.
Keisetsu Gakuen is a children’s welfare facility that provides a safe and supportive environment for children who, for various reasons, are unable to live with their families. The facility places great importance on daily living support, education, and emotional care, while offering individualized support that respects each child's unique needs. The staff carefully observe even the smallest changes in the children’s daily lives and continue to provide thoughtful support to help them build a foundation for their future.
On the day of our visit, we were warmly welcomed by the children with Christmas songs and energetic dances. Their pure and heartfelt expressions instantly softened the atmosphere and created a truly heartwarming moment.
We were also allowed to see the Christmas wish cards written by the children to Santa Claus. At Keisetsu Gakuen, it is a cherished annual tradition to prepare gifts that reflect each child’s wishes as much as possible and have Santa Claus deliver them.
The cards were filled with the children’s unique personalities and honest feelings, reflecting the staff’s warm involvement and a long-standing tradition that has been carefully preserved over the years.
The children were delighted with the Christmas cakes and showed joyful smiles throughout the celebration. The room was filled with laughter and warmth, and at the end of the Christmas gathering, each child came forward to say “thank you” in their own words.
The support delivered this year is being used not only to create cherished Christmas memories for the children, but also to support their daily lives and learning.
