New president, new energy 🎤 This week’s meeting welcomed 3 guests and 3 prepared speeches that turned personal hobbies into life lessons — from raising butterflies to film photography, each speaker found their own “art of waiting” in the everyday, transformation included.

Word of the evening: commend — to formally praise someone or something. You could hear it sprinkled through every evaluation.

And of course, Table Topics — where courage meets chaos. Big respect to everyone who stepped outside their comfort zone with zero prep time.

Grateful for this club and the people who keep showing up to grow.

917th Regular Meeting & Installation Ceremony 🎉

On June 24th, our 917th Regular Meeting brought members together onsite and online for another enjoyable evening of learning.

The meeting featured two inspiring prepared speeches, a lively Table Topics® session with the theme of rain, and thoughtful evaluations that reflected the supportive spirit of our club.

The evening concluded with the Installation Ceremony, conducted by our Area Director, recognizing the outgoing officers and officially welcoming our new officer team for the 2026–2027 Toastmasters year.

Appropriately, our Word of the Evening was pivot—a reminder that every transition can become an opportunity for growth.

Congratulations to our newly installed officers! Here's to a pivotal year ahead filled with learning, leadership, and friendship.

🌸 Kyoto Outing Highlights – June 20 🌸

On June 20, we enjoyed a wonderful outing around the Kyoto Station area together. 😊

🪷At To-ji Temple, we admired the beautiful lotus flowers and the iconic five-story pagoda. We also took time to appreciate the impressive Buddhist statues in the Kondo Hall and Lecture Hall, immersing ourselves in Kyoto’s rich history and culture.

🚶 From Kyoto Station to Umekoji Park, we enjoyed searching for monuments and artworks displayed along the route. The walk itself became part of the adventure and gave us many opportunities to chat and connect.

🥩 At the hotel, we enjoyed a delicious steak buffet and shared great conversations over lunch.

🏛️ In the afternoon, we visited Nishi Hongan-ji and explored Kyoto Station, experiencing both the traditional and modern sides of Kyoto.

🤝 Throughout the day, we strengthened our friendships, learned more about Japanese culture, and created many wonderful memories together. It was a day filled with friendship, discovery, and enjoyment. ✨

🎉 Joint Meeting with Legacy TMC and

Osaka TMC! 🎉

We had an amazing joint meeting between Legacy TMC and Osaka TMC!

In the opening Variety Session, participants introduced themselves and collected signatures from each other on their bingo cards. It was a great icebreaker, and nine participants successfully completed their entire bingo card!

We enjoyed:
🎤 4 inspiring prepared speeches
🗣️ 7 exciting Table Topics speeches
💡 4 valuable evaluations

The meeting was filled with learning, laughter, and meaningful exchanges. Most importantly, we strengthened the friendship between our two clubs. 🤝✨

After the meeting, many of us continued the fun at a gyoza restaurant, where we enjoyed great food and even deeper conversations. 🥟😊

Tomorrow, we will go on an excursion to Kyoto and enjoy visiting some beautiful temples and historical sites. ⛩️🎉

I truly believe that Legacy TMC and Osaka TMC are the best places to grow and enjoy together! ❤️

Our June 10 meeting welcomed 11 guests from various countries, joining both onsite and online!

Highlights included:

✨ Nine participants taking part in an engaging Table Topics session
✨ A guest being voted Best Table Topics Speaker
✨ Supportive evaluation and constructive feedback
✨ The Word of the Evening: “auspicious”

Our 915th regular meeting was held in a hybrid format with onsite and online participants, including guests from Legacy Toastmasters Club in Taiwan!

The meeting featured:

✨ evaluations and supportive feedback
✨ elections for next term’s club officers

🎤✨ 914th Regular Meeting Digest ✨

On May 13, we held our 914th regular meeting in a hybrid format with both onsite and online participants 😊

We welcomed four guests and our Area Director.

🎙 H1 delivered his Path Completion speech, reflecting on his Toastmasters journey and growth.
🎙 M shared an inspiring speech about mentoring from both mentor and protégé perspectives.

🗣 H2 served as Table Topics Master for the first time and led fun movie-themed topics.
🏆 C1 won Best Table Topics Speaker using the Word of the Evening, “tenacity.”

📝 General Evaluator C2 provided thoughtful feedback on the entire meeting.

📢 H3 introduced next term’s officer candidates on behalf of the CLC. Elections will be held at the next meeting on May 27.

We were also delighted that N expressed her intention to join the club 🌸

✨ Exciting International Collaboration! ✨
(Legacy & Osaka)
Osaka Toastmasters Club will be hosting a joint meeting on Jun 19th(18:30) with Legacy Toastmasters Club from Taiwan!

Yesterday, we had a productive and meaningful discussion on Zoom about how to run this special joint meeting. Legacy TMC is one of the largest and most active clubs in Taiwan, while Osaka TMC is one of the most established clubs in Japan. This collaboration will be a fantastic opportunity for learning🤩

Osaka TMC is a friendly community where you can enjoy learning Public Speaking and Leadership Skills in English.

The Toastmasters Annual Conference was held on April 18–19 at Hokkaido University 🎤✨

It’s still an interim update for this term (through June), but Osaka TMC was recognized at the awards ceremony as a nominee for Distinguished Club 🥰🏆
