Our 915th regular meeting was held in a hybrid format with onsite and online participants, including guests from Legacy Toastmasters Club in Taiwan!

The meeting featured:
✨ an induction ceremony welcoming a new member
✨ speeches on positivity and leadership
✨ fun and engaging Table Topics
✨ evaluations and supportive feedback
✨ elections for next term’s club officers

We are also excited about next month’s upcoming joint meeting with Legacy TMC!

🎤✨ 914th Regular Meeting Digest ✨

On May 13, we held our 914th regular meeting in a hybrid format with both onsite and online participants 😊

We welcomed four guests and our Area Director.

🎙 H1 delivered his Path Completion speech, reflecting on his Toastmasters journey and growth.
🎙 M shared an inspiring speech about mentoring from both mentor and protégé perspectives.

🗣 H2 served as Table Topics Master for the first time and led fun movie-themed topics.
🏆 C1 won Best Table Topics Speaker using the Word of the Evening, “tenacity.”

📝 General Evaluator C2 provided thoughtful feedback on the entire meeting.

📢 H3 introduced next term’s officer candidates on behalf of the CLC. Elections will be held at the next meeting on May 27.

We were also delighted that N expressed her intention to join the club 🌸

✨ Exciting International Collaboration! ✨
(Legacy & Osaka)
Osaka Toastmasters Club will be hosting a joint meeting on Jun 19th(18:30) with Legacy Toastmasters Club from Taiwan!

Yesterday, we had a productive and meaningful discussion on Zoom about how to run this special joint meeting. Legacy TMC is one of the largest and most active clubs in Taiwan, while Osaka TMC is one of the most established clubs in Japan. This collaboration will be a fantastic opportunity for learning🤩

Osaka TMC is a friendly community where you can enjoy learning Public Speaking and Leadership Skills in English.

The Toastmasters Annual Conference was held on April 18–19 at Hokkaido University 🎤✨

It’s still an interim update for this term (through June), but Osaka TMC was recognized at the awards ceremony as a nominee for Distinguished Club 🥰🏆

913th Regular Meeting Digest 🎤✨

Our 913th regular meeting, held on April 22nd, was an articulate and engaging session, filled with learning, connection, and inspiration.

We were pleased to receive a report from Noriko, a Distinguished Toastmaster, who shared insights from the District 76 Annual Conference held in Sapporo. It was a valuable opportunity to look beyond our club and reconnect with the wider Toastmasters community.

🎙 Prepared Speeches
We enjoyed two meaningful speeches.

Yasu gave a speech about Nichiren, offering thoughtful historical and philosophical perspectives.

Hiromi, our newest member, delivered her Ice Breaker speech titled “Return to My Beginnings”, sharing her personal story as she took her first step in Toastmasters.

⚡ Table Topics
Led by Topicsmaster Kayo, the session brought plenty of energy and spontaneity, with both members and guests taking on impromptu speaking challenges.

Noriko was voted Best Table Topics Speaker 🏆

🎯 Evaluation Session
The session was guided by General Evaluator Roger, with Hiroaki and Momoko delivering constructive and insightful evaluations that supported everyone’s learning.

📝 Meeting Highlight
Akira took on his first role as Grammarian and introduced the Word of the Evening: articulate.

Hello!

At Osaka Toastmasters Club, we regularly hold a Table Topics speech practice session called Wonderful Moments. Attendance is voluntary and casual, so the participants are usually highly motivated.

We truly had some wonderful moments. During the session, we practiced impromptu speaking by taking turns in different roles: Table Topics Master, Speaker, and Evaluator.

Some of the topics we explored included:

What do you miss most about your childhood?
What is the strangest food you have ever tried?
What is your biggest challenge this year?
What is your favorite song?

After each session (we did two rounds), we took time to reflect on our performances and think about how to make our speeches more engaging and entertaining. I’m glad we were able to have such meaningful discussions on how to improve our speaking skills through these monthly Wonderful Moments sessions.

Our April 8th meeting was truly inspiring 🌟

We were happy to welcome two guests — including a former member who joined us again after nearly 20 years! It was such a special moment to reconnect 🤝

🎙 Prepared Speeches
Akira delivered his very first speech, “My First Step” — a perfect beginning to his Toastmasters journey 👏

Chizuko shared a persuasive speech about using the SOS button — practical, impactful, and thought-provoking.

⚡ Table Topics
With extra time this session, many members (and guests!) took on the challenge of impromptu speaking.

会場とオンラインのハイブリッド形式で、第911回例会を開催しました。

今回は入会式を行い、新たに2名のメンバーを迎えました🎉

例会では
・準備スピーチ 3本
・テーブルトピックス
・論評スピーチ 3本
が行われ、充実した時間となりました。

Word of the Evening は「horizons」で、範囲・限界・視野などを意味する言葉です。
メンバーそれぞれが新たな挑戦を通して、自分の視野を広げていく様子が印象的でした。
