The APBF provides an important platform for Baptists of the Asia – Pacific region to relate to one another and work together in partnership in some key areas of ministry viz. mission, leadership development, pastoral training, theological education, aid and development etc.

Across the Philippines, Assam (India), Bangladesh, Taiwan, Nepal, and other parts of Asia, devastating floods and mudslides have taken lives, displaced families, and destroyed homes and livelihoods.
Our hearts grieve with every family mourning a loved one and every community facing an uncertain tomorrow. In this painful hour, let us stand together in faith—praying for those affected, for the safety and strength of rescuers, and for comfort, healing, and hope amid the devastation.
May God be their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 🙏

APBF mourns with the rest of the World Baptist Family!

To the Baptist World Alliance Family in 138 Countries and Territories.

With deep sorrow and steadfast hope in Jesus Christ, Rev. Dr. Elijah Brown share that on August 15, Rev. Dr. Neville Callam, Baptist World Alliance General Secretary Emeritus, went to be with the Lord.

Dr. Callam served as the eighth General Secretary and CEO of the Baptist World Alliance from 2007 to 2017, faithfully stewarding the BWA through a significant season in the life of our global movement. His theological insight, global statesmanship, love for the church, and unwavering commitment to Christ strengthened the worldwide Baptist family and leave an enduring witness that will continue to shape generations.

The Baptist World Alliance gives thanks to God for the life and ministry of Rev. Dr. Neville Callam and surround his beloved wife, Dulcie, their children and grandchildren, the Jamaica Baptist Union, and countless friends and ministry partners around the world with our prayers and deepest condolences. Across nations and generations, we join together in gratitude for a faithful servant of Christ whose life enriched our global Baptist family.

When elected as BWA General Secretary, Dr. Callam expressed the conviction that would continue to characterize his ministry, “Living for Jesus is what my life is about. My calling is to serve the cause of Christ.”

Today, we give thanks that he lived that calling faithfully.

The APBF expresses its gratitude to God for the life of Rev. Dr. Neville Callam’s life while pray for peace and comfort upon the bereaved family!

A four-day Humanitarian Action Course in Indonesia will be conducted by the BFAD in partnership with the APBAid. Convention within the APBF may like to send their leaders. Get in touch with for more information if required. This four-day regional training is designed to equip Baptist leaders, church workers, and local aid practitioners to respond more effectively and safely to disasters and community needs. The deadline has been extended till August 5th 2026.
