Today we release to you all our most recent film, “Into the Harvest: A Story of Loving Decisions”, a collaboration with Gordon Ministries located in Shizuoka, Japan. This one hit us deep, and it won’t take you long to see why.

For over forty years, Ricky and Sarah Gordon have dedicated their lives to serving and helping find loving, permanent homes for Japan’s displaced or disabled children. This is the story that shares how their work came to be and demonstrates the scriptural call of “setting the lonely in families”, reminding us that the ultimate healing for a displaced child is the gift of a permanent home.

Working on this project and telling their story gave us a unique opportunity to peek behind the curtain and truly immerse ourselves in the work the Gordons do on a daily basis - the work most people never see. We are grateful they let us in and trusted in us to tell their story, a gift we don’t take lightly.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their story and to our entire team of donors and creatives who made this possible. We cherish you.

[b]REACH walks away with a Sylvia Award for Best Georgia Short Film at ! We are so proud that our narrative film was selected for their lineup this year, and they were truly the kindest of hosts.
 
This recognition reinforces the value of the philanthropic work we do at Rising Act Films. It is a testament to our mission to raise awareness and advocate through storytelling—and to give a voice and humanity to issues that are not always at the forefront.
 
We look forward to sharing more exciting news about the film soon as she finishes her journey on the festival circuit.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Cannes Indie Shorts Awards presents [b]REACH. The film is joining 150 semifinalists in a lineup this weekend, June 7-10 2025. Come enjoy one of the best short film festivals taking place in Cannes from the comfort of your own home.

We are grateful to our team, grateful to and grateful to all those who helped make this film happen.

We have some exciting news! [b]REACH, written, directed by, and starring our very own Rachel Hendrix, is premiering as part of the Short Film Showcase on Wednesday 2/12 at FIT () D207 from 2:30-5pm at the Justice Film Festival in New York City.

A huge thank you to Justice Film Festival for including our film in your line up this year. We are honored to join other films that bring hope, compassion, and light to a world in need of inspiration.
