昨日は、 OneHope Japan より宇賀飛翔さんがJSL Bibleを訪問してくださいました！
OneHope Japanさんは、「こども聖書アプリ」や「聖書プロジェクト-日本語訳」などでお馴染みの、現代の日本の子どもと青年のために、御言葉を伝えるツールをもって仕えられている団体です。
JSL Bibleでも、翻訳過程の中での事前研究や理解評価チェックの際に、まずは大きな流れを理解するために「聖書プロジェクト」のイラストを活用することがあります。
今回は、香港聖書協会発行の聖書物語絵本シリーズ「Words of Wisdom (知恵のことば)」の翻訳の様子をご見学いただきました。普段から翻訳や通訳に従事されていることもあり、するどい質問をたくさんしていただいたり、情報共有をしたりと、楽しい交流の時間になりました。

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Hisho Uga fromOneHope Japann to visit JSL Bible!
OneHope Japan is well known for resources such as the Bible App for Kids and the Japanese translation of The Bible Project — powerful tools that help communicate God’s Word to children and youth across Japan.
At JSL Bible, we occasionally use The Bible Project’s illustrations during our preliminary study and comprehension check phases to help our team grasp the broader narrative before translation.
During this visit, Mr. Uga observed the translation process for the Words of Wisdom picture book series, published by the Hong Kong Bible Society.
Because Mr. Uga works in translation and interpretation himself, our time together became a rich occasion of fellowship, filled with thoughtful questions, shared insights, and mutual encouragement.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect and learn together, and we look forward to more collaboration in the future!
