【奈良トーストマスターズクラブ(TMC)】

奈良TMCクラブは2011年に設立された、奈良県唯一のトーストマスターズクラブです。
毎月1回、第二日曜日に例会を開き、ビジネスパーソンから主婦の方まで、さまざまなバックグラウンドを持つメンバーが、英語で「コミュニケーション」と「リーダーシップ」を明るく楽しく皆で学んでいます。アットホームで居心地が良いクラブです。

【例会について】ゲストの見学大歓迎です！

日時：毎月第2日曜日　14：00～16：30
場所：奈良市西部公民館（近鉄奈良線・学園前駅すぐ）
　　　～現在はコロナ禍の為、ZOOMにてオンライン例会を開催中です～
月会費：1,700円（半年ごとに10,000円）
入会金：4000円（オンライン教育プログラムの学習パス一つの代金込）

🎤 第185回例会レポート(9/13)

3名のスピーカーが、セカンドキャリアを前向きに捉え直す視点・自分自身のリーダーシップスタイル・自分自身のコミュニケーションスタイルという、それぞれ自分と向き合うテーマで英語スピーチを披露してくれました。

即興スピーチのテーブルトピックスセッションや評価セッションも交え、和気あいあいとした雰囲気に包まれたひとときになりました。

今回は4名のゲストの方にお越しくださり、クラブ一同あたたかくお迎えしました😊 それぞれ異なるバックグラウンドをお持ちながらも、英語で自分を表現する機会を大切にしたいという想いを持ってご参加くださっている姿がとても印象的でした。

🎤 185th Meeting Recap (Sep 13)

Three speakers took the stage with introspective topics — reframing a second career with a positive mindset, understanding one's own leadership style, and reflecting on one's own communication style.

The Table Topics session and Evaluation session added to a warm, easygoing atmosphere throughout the meeting.

We were also happy to welcome 4 guests at this meeting 😊 It was striking to see how, despite coming from such different backgrounds, each of them shared a genuine desire to keep expressing themselves in English.

🎤 第184回例会レポート(8/9)

3名のスピーカーが、日本人の生物学的進化・AIの功罪・ある芸術家の生き方という、思慮に富んだテーマで英語スピーチを披露してくれました。

即興スピーチのテーブルトピックスセッションも大盛り上がり!笑いと学びに満ちた温かい例会になりました。

【第184回例会 7月12日】
7月の例会に会員15名が参加しました。
準備スピーチでは3名が「歴史の裏話」「落語に学ぶ話し方」「新聞というメディアの価値」をテーマに英語スピーチを披露。
テーブルトピックスでは6名が夏らしいお題で即興スピーチに挑戦しました。
表彰では月間ベスト賞に加え、年間の最多スピーチ賞・皆勤賞(3名)も発表され、1年間の頑張りを讃えました🎉
例会後は中華料理店で新年度パーティも開催!

【184th Regular Meeting – Jul. 12】
15 members joined this month's meeting!
Three Prepared Speeches covered fascinating topics: hidden stories behind history, speaking lessons from Rakugo, and the value of newspapers today.
6 members tackled summer-themed Table Topics with humor and creativity.
Awards included Best Speaker, Best Table Topics, plus annual awards for Most Speeches and Perfect Attendance (3 members) 🎉
We wrapped up the night with a new-year party at a nearby Chinese restaurant!

【183th Regular meeting on Jun. 14 】

Hello everyone,

We were delighted to welcome 19 members and 2 guests to this month's meeting.

The Prepared Speech Session featured three engaging speeches. One speaker reflected on a car accident that changed the way they view life's priorities. Another shared a touching childhood memory, showing how a small act of kindness can leave a lasting impression. The third speaker explored the continuing value of newspapers in an age dominated by social media and instant information. All three speeches were thought-provoking and memorable.

The Evaluation Session followed, providing speakers with constructive feedback and valuable insights. This session remains one of the most important learning opportunities in Toastmasters, helping speakers, evaluators, and audience members grow together.

During the Table Topics Session, eight members challenged themselves with impromptu speeches. Inspired by the rainy season, the topics encouraged participants to share personal experiences and unique perspectives, creating an enjoyable and lively atmosphere.

The meeting concluded with the Installation Ceremony for our new club officers. Our new President introduced this year's motto: "Challenge, Support, Grow!" and shared a vision of a club where members encourage one another, embrace new challenges, and celebrate growth together.

As always, the meeting was filled with positive energy, learning, and friendship.

Our next regular meeting will be held on July 12. Guests are always welcome, and we look forward to meeting new visitors at a future meeting!

【182th Regular meeting on May. 10 】

Hello everyone,

Fifteen club members attended this month’s regular meeting.

During the Prepared Speech Session, three speakers delivered inspiring English speeches.
The first speech, “What I Learned from the Toastmasters Mentorship System,” expressed the speaker’s heartfelt appreciation for mentors and the value of guidance within Toastmasters.
The second speech, “What Is Your Signpost to Make a Table Topics Speech?”, shared insightful ideas on how to structure and organize a speech effectively.
The third speech, “Toast for the 200th Meeting Celebration,” conveyed hopeful and inspiring dreams for the bright future of Nara Toastmasters Club.

Each speech reflected the Toastmasters spirit of mutual encouragement, continuous learning, and personal growth.

Following the prepared speeches, the Evaluation Session was conducted. This session not only provides valuable and constructive feedback to the speakers, but also offers learning opportunities for the audience while helping evaluators strengthen their listening and analytical skills. Through thoughtful evaluations, members encourage one another’s growth, making this one of the most important and meaningful parts of our club activities.

In the Table Topics Session, five members challenged themselves with 1- to 2-minute impromptu speeches. In this session, participants are given a topic on the spot and must organize and deliver a speech immediately, making it an excellent opportunity for English learners to develop confidence and spontaneity in speaking. This month’s topics were related to how members spent their Golden Week holidays, and the positive and uplifting speeches inspired everyone in the room. The meeting concluded successfully in a warm and encouraging atmosphere from beginning to end.

Our next regular meeting is scheduled for June 14.

【The 61st Casual Meeting on April 28th 】
こんにちは！4月28日の夜、第61回カジュアルミーティングをウェブ上で開催しました。当クラブの常連メンバー5名が参加しました。即興テーブルトピックススピーチをリレー形式で行い、最近驚いたこと、アウトドアで楽しみたいこと、旅先で味わいたい食事、自分がなるとすればどの動物になるか、札幌でのTM総会の出来事など、多種多様なトピックに英語でチャレンジし、お互いに評価し合いました。
次回の定例会は5月10日に奈良市西部公民館（近鉄学園前駅前）で開催します。当クラブの活動にご興味のある方は、お気軽にお問い合わせください！
Hello! We had our 61st casual meeting on the night of April 28th on the web, and 5 members joined this meeting. We relayed the 2 minute impromptu table topic speech, tackling a wide variety of topics in English. These ranged from "recent surprises", "outdoor activities to try", "travel meals to try", "spirit animals," and "highlights from the Toastmasters General Meeting in Sapporo". It was a great challenge for everyone, and we concluded by providing each other with feedback.

【181th Regular meeting on Apr. 12 】

Hello everyone,

At this month’s regular meeting, we were pleased to welcome 13 club members.

During the Prepared Speech Session (5–7 minutes), two speakers delivered engaging English speeches.

The first speech, “My Birthday,” included a nostalgic surprise unique to the Showa era and offered reflections on how her perception and sensibility evolve over time.

The second speech, “Acceptance Speech for Nara TMC President,” was a refined version of an acceptance speech for the role of club president. The speaker expressed his thoughts and aspirations for Toastmasters in a sincere and authentic manner, creating a speech that deeply resonated with the audience.

Following the prepared speeches, we held an Evaluation Session. This session not only provides valuable feedback to the speakers but also offers learning opportunities for the audience, while helping evaluators strengthen their listening and organizational skills. It is a core component of our club activities, fostering mutual growth through constructive feedback.

In addition, eight members participated in the Table Topics Session, delivering 1–2 minute impromptu speeches. Being given a topic on the spot and speaking immediately is a highly valuable training opportunity for all English learners. This time, the topics were inspired by the theme of new beginnings in spring, and the members’ positive and uplifting speeches created an encouraging and motivating atmosphere.

As always, the meeting concluded in a warm and supportive environment.

Hello everyone,

At this month’s regular meeting, we were pleased to welcome 18 club members.

During the Prepared Speech Session (5–7 minutes), three speakers delivered engaging English speeches titled “Anne of Green Gables,” “Decluttering Part 2: The Return of My Sons,” and “If You Work Hard, You Will Succeed?”
Each speech offered unique insights and heartfelt reflections. One speaker explored the profound themes found in the novel Anne of Green Gables and shared personal impressions drawn from the story. Another spoke about how decluttering the home led to deeper family communication and strengthened bonds. The third speaker reminded us that effort must be directed toward the right things in order to truly achieve success. All three speeches resonated with the audience and provided valuable lessons.

Following the speeches, the Evaluation Session was held. This session provides helpful feedback to the speakers while also serving as an important learning opportunity for the audience. Through thoughtful evaluations, evaluators develop their listening and analytical skills while offering constructive suggestions for improvement. It is truly one of the core elements of our club activities, where members support each other’s growth.

In the Table Topics Session, seven members took on the challenge of delivering 1–2 minute impromptu speeches. In this session, speakers are given a topic on the spot and must respond immediately, making it an excellent training opportunity for anyone learning to communicate in English. This month’s topics were inspired by spring, such as ways to enjoy hanami (cherry blossom viewing) and advice for graduating students. These relatable themes encouraged everyone to share their thoughts, creating a lively and enjoyable session.

The meeting concluded in a warm and positive atmosphere.

Our next regular meeting will be held on April 12.

こんにちは！2月24日の夜、第59回カジュアルミーティングをウェブ上で開催しました。当クラブの常連メンバー5名が参加しました。最初に、2分間の即興テーブルトピックススピーチをリレー形式で行いました。お互いにトピックを出し合い、フィードバックを交換しました。

Hello! We had our 59th casual meeting on the night of February 24th on the web. Five regular members of this club join this meeting. At first,we relayed the 2 minute impromptu table topic speech. We gave topics and feedback to each other.

【179th Regular meeting on Feb. 08 】

Hello everyone!

At this month’s regular meeting, we were pleased to welcome 12 club members.

During the Prepared Speech Session (5–7 minutes), three speakers delivered inspiring English speeches titled “Are You Really Enjoying Your Life?”, “My Favorite Things”, and “42.195 Kilometers: A Journey of Emotions.”

Each speech not only engaged the audience with relatable and compelling content, but also demonstrated a high level of speaking skill. It was truly an inspiring and stimulating session for all participants.

Following the prepared speeches, we held an evaluation session. This session provided valuable feedback to the speakers, useful insights for the audience, and an excellent opportunity for evaluators to enhance their listening and logical thinking skills. It remains a core element of our club activities, fostering mutual growth through constructive feedback.

In addition, seven members participated in the Table Topics session, delivering impromptu speeches of 1–2 minutes. Being given a topic on the spot and speaking immediately is a valuable training opportunity for all English learners. This month’s meeting also included a speech practice by the newly selected club representative, who received a variety of helpful suggestions from club members in preparation for the upcoming Area Contest. As always, the meeting concluded in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Our next regular meeting is scheduled for March 8.
