Last month we were in Mutsu Bay 🐬
We conducted 4 boat surveys to collect photo data for our ongoing ID project. We saw interesting feeding behaviours and lots of beautiful bow riding. As it is mid-June now, maybe the dolphins will be leaving Mutsu Bay to continue their migration around Japan.

Thank you to our captain Tanaka-san for guiding our surveys again this year 🙏 ありがとうございます田中さん

Yesterday's boat survey: stunning Pacific white-sided dolphins, perfect sea conditions 😍

Two boat surveys were conducted this week. On the 11th no dolphins were observed but then yesterday groups were spotted feeding and bow riding in these perfect sea conditions 😍

The dolphin season in Mutsu Bay is likely coming to an end now as these Pacific white-sided dolphins continue their migration around Japan.
