2026年度学費助成金授与式・交流会🎓
＜開催報告②＞
本イベントには、ウェスレー財団が公益財団法人JELAとUNHCR駐日事務所と共同で実施している「難民専門学校教育プログラム（RVEP）」の奨学生にもご参加いただきました。
参加してくださった4名のRVEP奨学生は、ウクライナとアフガニスタン出身です。パネルトークでは、それぞれの国の文化、日本での生活、将来の夢などについてお話しいただきました。
ウクライナ出身の奨学生の一人は、大学卒業後に就職して働いていたものの、軍事侵攻の影響で職を失い、安全な生活を求めて日本へ来たことを話してくださいました。また、アフガニスタン出身の奨学生からは、タリバン政権が女性に対し教育やほとんどの職業を禁止している現状についてお話がありました。
RVEP奨学生たちのおかげで、私たちはウクライナとアフガニスタンの文化や現在の状況を知ることができました。それだけでなく、困難な状況の中でも学びへの意欲を持ち続けるRVEP奨学生たちのストーリーから、大きな励ましとインスピレーションを受けました。
この日に皆で集うことができた恵みに感謝するとともに、それぞれの1年間の歩みが神様に守られ、実り多い学びの時を過ごすことができますよう、お祈りしています。

This event was also attended by scholars of the “Refugee Vocational Education Programme,” which is jointly implemented by the Wesley Zaidan, JELA (Japan Evangelical Lutheran Association), and the UNHCR Representation in Japan.
The four RVEP scholars who joined this event are from Ukraine and Afghanistan. During the panel talk, they shared about the cultures of their countries, their lives in Japan, and their future aspirations.
A scholar from Ukraine shared that after graduating from university and working in employment, job loss due to a military invasion led to the decision to come to Japan in search of safety. A scholar from Afghanistan also spoke about the current situation under the Taliban regime, where women are denied access to education and are prohibited from working in most professions.
Thanks to the stories shared by the RVEP scholars, we were able to gain a closer understanding of the cultures and current situations of Ukraine and Afghanistan. Moreover, their stories of continuing to pursue learning despite challenging circumstances offered significant encouragement and inspiration to all attendees.
We are grateful for the blessing of being able to gather on this day, and we pray that each recipient's academic journey over the coming year will be protected by God and filled with meaningful learning and growth.
