This Saturday is Sweden’s National Day, and we’re celebrating the Swedish flag. In August, it will be joined by 17 others. The 2026 World Deaf Golf Championships will bring together participants from 18 nations at Barsebäck. From the Nordic region to North America, from Asia to Africa. It is precisely this international community that makes the championships so special. We look forward to welcoming the world to Sweden and Barsebäck.

The World Deaf Golf Championships began with a simple belief: that deaf golfers deserved a true world championship of their own.

That belief became history. 58 golfers from 8 Countries attended the first World Deaf Golf Championships in 1995 at Forest of Arden, England.

Today marks 100 Days to the First Round of the 2026 World Deaf Golf Championships which will be the 15th running of these Championships. Watch out for more posts as we get closer and closer to these Championships.

Hole 8 on the Ocean Course is a beautiful and challenging golf hole. A par 3 with views of the Öresund and Copenhagen on a cloudless day. You hit down on the green, the height difference is 8 metres and a pond protects the green. A hole where the wind on the day greatly affects your choice of club, sometimes a pitching wedge and the next time you choose a spoon.
