「ユースサミット 2026 」予選会レポート

8月9日（日）、渋谷のフロンティアインターナショナルで「ユースサミット 2026」の予選会を開催しました。予選会に向けて、各チームは５月から８月までの約４カ月間、メンターの皆さんからアドバイスやフィードバックを受けながら、ミーティングを重ね、それぞれのプロジェクトを練り上げてきました。

当日は23チームが参加し、社会課題の解決を目指して考案したさまざまなアイデアを発表しました。それぞれの視点や発想が光る内容で、より良い社会をつくりたいという若い世代の熱意が感じられるプレゼンテーションとなりました。

審査では、以下の4つのポイントを中心に選考が行われました。
- ミッションとビジョン
- 社会的インパクトと価値の独自性
- チームワークと情熱
- イノベーションと実用性

厳正な審査の結果、７チームが選出され、9月27日（日）にヒルトン東京で行われるファイナルへの進出を決めました。

予選会終了後には、企業から参加したメンターの皆さんの協力のもと、ファイナルに向けたプレゼンテーションのブラッシュアップも実施。各チームはアドバイスを受けながら、伝え方や表現をさらに磨きます。

9月27日（日）のファイナルでは、社会課題と真剣に向き合い、新しい未来をつくろうと行動する若いチェンジメーカーたちが、それぞれのアイデアを披露します。若い世代ならではの発想や情熱、創造力に触れ、新たな気づきやインスピレーションを得られる機会です。次世代の可能性が詰まった「ユースサミット 2026」のファイナルに、ぜひ皆さんもご参加ください！

"Youth Summit 2026" Preliminary Round Report

On Sunday, August 9, the preliminary round of Youth Summit 2026 was held at Frontier International in Shibuya. In preparation for the event, each team spent approximately four months, from May through August, developing and refining their projects through meetings, advice, and feedback from their mentors.

A total of 23 teams took part in the event, presenting a wide range of ideas aimed at addressing social issues. Each presentation showcased unique perspectives and creative thinking, reflecting the passion of young people who are eager to make a positive difference in society.

The teams were evaluated based on the following four key criteria:
- Mission and Vision
- Social Impact and Value Proposition
- Teamwork and Passion
- Innovation and Practicality

After careful evaluation, 7 teams were selected to advance to the final, which will be held at Hilton Tokyo on Sunday, September 27.

After the preliminary round, with the support of mentors from participating companies, the teams continued to refine their presentations for the final. Through advice and feedback from their mentors, they are further developing their presentation skills and learning how to communicate their ideas more effectively.

At the final on Sunday, September 27, young changemakers who are seriously committed to addressing social issues and creating a better future will take the stage to share their ideas. It will be a wonderful opportunity to experience the creativity, passion, and fresh perspectives of the next generation−and to discover new ideas and inspiration along the way.

4月26日、テンプル大学にて「ユースサミット 2026 キックオフイベント」を開催しました。当日は、ハンズオン東京の活動やユースサミットについて紹介した後、ゲストスピーカーとして東京ヤマソン創設者のジョー・プールノビンさんにお話しいただきました。

ジョーさんからは、東京ヤマソンが小規模なウォーキングイベントとしてスタートし、現在のような大規模な年次イベントへと成長していった歩みをご紹介いただきました。また、「まずは小さなことから始めること」の大切さを伝え、小さなアイデアや行動でも、やがて大きなインパクトにつながっていくと、学生たちにエールを送りました。

On April 26, the Youth Summit 2026 Kick-off Event was held at Temple University. The event began with an introduction to Hands On Tokyo and an overview of Youth Summit 2026, followed by a talk from our guest speaker, Joe Pournovin, Founder, Tokyo Yamathon.

During the event, Joe shared the journey of Tokyo Yamathon and how it grew from a small walking activity into the large annual event it is today. He encouraged students to start small, emphasizing that even small ideas and actions can lead to greater impact.

About the Role
Hands On Tokyo is looking for a Corporate Program Coordinator to lead the planning, design, and ex*****on of volunteer programs involving corporate participants. Key Responsibilities
・ Plan and design volunteer programs involving corporate participants

キッチンカーの新しいラッピングを彩るのは、アーティスト・芳仲真樹子さんの作品です。
1980年大阪府生まれの芳仲さんは、知的障がいと肢体不自由があり、左手を使って作品を制作しています。
一つひとつの点から生まれる、色鮮やかでエネルギーにあふれた世界。
その作品が、LIVES キッチンのキッチンカーいっぱいに広がっています✨
そして8月26日、新しいデザインになったLIVES キッチンが、ヒルトン東京でデビュー🎉

A Gathering of Leaders of Impact
企業リーダーの皆さまにお集まりいただきました

5月26日、東京アメリカンクラブにて、アニュアルイベント「Hands@Work 2026」を開催いたしました。ハンズオン東京の活動を支援してくださっている企業パートナーの皆さまは、それぞれの立場から社会課題の解決に取り組み、さまざまな形で社会貢献を実践されています。Hands@Work は、そのような企業リーダーの皆さまにお集まりいただき、お互いの取り組みや想いを共有し、新たなつながりを育む場です。

また、社会課題の最前線に立つゲストスピーカーの皆さまから、現状や実践について直接お話を伺い、一人ひとりがこうした課題をより身近なものとして考えるきっかけとなる場でもあります。

当日は、ハンズオン東京とともに活動してくださっている企業・団体から43名の皆さまにご参加いただき、ハンズオン東京の活動紹介に加え、企業パートナーによるボランティア活動事例の紹介、さまざまな社会課題に取り組む２団体によるトークセッションを行いました。

企業活動紹介では、バンク･オブ･アメリカによる河川の清掃や花壇への植栽、ケアパッケージづくりなどの取り組み、チューリッヒ保険会社による障がいのある子どもたちを対象とした映画上映会、株式会社ウェルカムによる LIVES キッチンカープロジェクトへの支援をご紹介いただきました。それぞれの企業が持つ強みを生かした多様な社会貢献活動は、参加者にとって新たな学びや気づきにつながる時間となりました。

続いて行われたトークセッションでは、NPO法人両育わーるどの合澤栄美さんに、難病や慢性疾患のある方々の就労をテーマに、働く意欲やスキルがありながらも、制度や職場環境の壁によって十分に力を発揮できない現状についてお話しいただきました。また、一人ひとりの状況に合わせた柔軟な働き方を実現することで、多様な人材が活躍できる社会づくりの可能性についてご紹介いただきました。

次に、NPO法人フェアスタートサポートの小金井花さんには、ご自身が里親家庭で育った経験をもとに、社会的養護のもとで育つ若者が就職や自立の際に直面する課題についてお話しいただきました。信頼できる大人や企業との出会い、職場体験などの機会が、若者の自信や将来の選択肢につながることについてもご紹介いただきました。

イベント後半では、「企業としてどのように社会的インパクトを生み出すことができるか、また、今日の講演からどのような気づきを得たか」をテーマにテーブルディスカッションを実施しました。参加者それぞれが講演を通じて感じたことや、自社で取り組めるアクションについて意見を交わし、最後には各テーブルで話し合った内容を全体で共有しました。

Hands@Work は、社会課題の最前線で活動する方々と企業をつなぎ、対話を通じて新たな協働の可能性を生み出す場です。ご参加いただいた皆さまからは、「多くの学びや刺激を得られました」「企業が社会課題の解決に果たせる役割について、あらためて考えるきっかけになりました」といった声をいただきました。ハンズオン東京は、今後もこのような対話と交流の機会を大切にし、企業・NPO・地域社会をつなぐ架け橋として、皆さまとともにより良い社会づくりを進めてまいります。

The event also offers participants the chance to hear directly from guest speakers working on the front lines of social issues, helping to deepen their understanding of the challenges facing our communities and inspiring them to consider how they can contribute to positive change.

This year's event welcomed 43 participants from companies and organizations that support Hands On Tokyo. The program included an introduction to Hands On Tokyo's activities, highlights of volunteer initiatives by our corporate partners, and inspiring stories shared by two nonprofit organizations working to address a range of social issues.

Our corporate partners also gave brief introductions to their volunteer initiatives. Bank of America highlighted its river cleanups, community flower planting, and care package projects, Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. introduced its movie screenings for children with disabilities, and WELCOME Co., Ltd. shared its support for the LIVES Kitchen Car Project. Their stories showed the many different ways companies can use their strengths to support their communities.

The first guest speaker, Ms. Emi Aizawa of Ryouiku World, spoke about employment opportunities for people living with intractable diseases and chronic illnesses. She highlighted the challenges faced by individuals with the motivation and skills to work but who are prevented from fully applying those skills due to institutional barriers and workplace environments. She also shared how flexible work arrangements tailored to individual needs can help create a society where diverse talents can thrive.

The second speaker, Ms. Hana Koganei of Fair Start Support, drew on her own experience of growing up in foster care to discuss the challenges young people in social care often face as they transition into employment and independent living. She emphasized the importance of opportunities to connect with trusted adults and supportive companies, as well as workplace experience, in helping young people build confidence and expand their future possibilities.

In the second half of the event, participants took part in table discussions on the theme, "How can companies create greater social impact, and what insights did today's speakers inspire?" Participants exchanged ideas about the key messages they had taken from the presentations and explored practical actions their own organizations could take. Each table then shared the highlights of its discussion with the wider group.

Hands@Work serves as a platform that connects companies with organizations working on the front lines of social issues, creating opportunities for dialogue and new collaboration. Participants shared positive feedback, commenting that the event provided valuable learning opportunities and fresh perspectives, while encouraging them to reflect on the important role businesses can play in addressing social challenges.

Hands On Tokyo remains committed to fostering these opportunities for dialogue and collaboration, serving as a bridge between companies, nonprofit organizations, and local communities as we work together to build a better society.
