We recently received a lovely story from a guest who traveled to Japan with their family from the UK! 🌸

When traveling in a city as large as Tokyo, making genuine local connections can sometimes feel tricky. That is exactly why they decided to try Borderless Visit. ✈🇯🇵

It turned out to be a perfect match. Traveling with their 11-year-old daughter, they spent the evening with a local family who also had a 10-year-old daughter. With the girls being so close in age, everyone clicked immediately.👭

When Brandon first joined a meal with a local family through Borderless Visit, he was simply hoping to try something authentic. 🍳

I’m so blessed to have Naoko san’s family and a place I can call home in Japan.

Our relationship started as me signing up to do a home visit at Naoko-san’s house.

Her and her family warmly welcomed me into her home and taught me how to make japanese dishes like sushi and takoyaki.

Since then l’ve visited every time I’m back in Japan and now they truly feel like family to me.

"I saw Borderless Visit recommended as something different to do." 🇯🇵

That is exactly how this trip started. Instead of the usual sightseeing, our guest, R, wanted to see how a real Japanese family lives and what they eat.

She loved how and generous her host was, especially since all four of the host's excited children got involved in the kitchen. Together, they cooked, shared a meal, and the family even took her sightseeing afterward☺️

They were already messaging before they met, and they are still swapping photos, videos, and memories today. 📸

Sometimes doing something different is exactly how you find the best memories!
