Dear Sri Lankan Professionals,

We are pleased to invite you to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lankan Professionals Association in Japan (SLPAJ) — an affiliated organization of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Japan.

SLPAJ represents Sri Lankan professionals residing in Japan and has been actively organizing seminars for its members, supporting Sri Lankans looking to make Japan their home, and spearheading our flagship event — Kakehashi — a platform that connects Sri Lankan startups with Japanese investors.

At this AGM, we will be sharing the organization's goals and future plans, and we warmly welcome both existing members and newcomers alike. If you are new to Japan, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn about what SLPAJ has to offer and to connect with fellow professionals in your community.

We, SLPAJ, had the opportunity to host a special event in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan, JETRO Japan, and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. The focus of this session was to promote investment in the Sri Lankan startup ecosystem and to highlight the potential of the innovative companies emerging from Sri Lanka.

We were pleased to see strong participation, thoughtful questions, and genuine interest in building future links between Japan and Sri Lanka.

A sincere thank you to our partners, speakers, and all attendees for supporting this initiative. We look forward to continuing this momentum as we prepare for our upcoming Kakehashi program.

Last week, members of the Sri Lanka Professionals Association in Japan (SLPAJ) visited the Ceylon Remittance office for a discussion on promoting legal foreign money transfers to Sri Lanka. We take pride in the fact that Ceylon Remittance was created by a Sri Lankan, for Sri Lankans. On behalf of SLPAJ, we extend our best wishes to Udaya-san and the Ceylon Remittance team, and we encourage all Sri Lankans in Japan to choose Ceylon Remittance for their fund transfers to Sri Lanka.

SLPAJ had the honour of greeting the new Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan, His Excellency Prof. Pivithuru Janak Kumarasinghe.

We congratulated him on his appointment at a time when Sri Lanka is further strengthening its ties with Japan.

SLPAJ also shared our past successful projects and upcoming events, which we believe will positively contribute to the Sri Lankan professional community both in Japan and back home in Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰🇯🇵
