Foundation for the Welfare & Education of the Asian People provides grants to support the Afghanistan Peace Women’s Association, helping fund their gatherings and educational activities aimed at strengthening organizational capacity.
They are organizing an exchange event where Japanese participants and people with refugee backgrounds can connect, build friendships, and share joyful moments through sports.

Purpose:
To bring together Japanese people and people with refugee backgrounds through sports, helping everyone connect, have fun, and feel happy.
Program Content:
First Half: Simple games, warm-up activities, and light exercise
Second Half: A basketball-focused program
Activities Other Than Basketball:
Yes. Simple physical activities are planned for the first half.
Participants
Target Participants:
The main target is junior high school girls, but everyone is welcome to join. If there is interest, sessions for male participants may also be arranged.
Gender & Participation Style: Women, men, and families are all welcome to participate.
Age Range: Mainly junior high school students
Participants range from elementary school students to university students
Beginners: Beginners are welcome. No prior experience is required.
Parents / Guardians: Observation and accompaniment by parents or guardians are allowed.
What to Bring
Required Items: Sportswear Athletic shoes Drinks
Food & Drinks Provided: Afghan nuts, coffee, and chocolate may be provided.
Safety & Supervision
Participant Supervision: Managed by the event organizers (details will be provided on the day).
Coaching & Support Staff: Teachers from Toyo Eiwa University and Otsuma Women’s University will be present.
