【Monthly Check-in Presentation & Exchange】
Asterisk-in-Residence Kyoto is a project supported by City of Kyoto, designed to foster “creative residencies” that connect international creators with the cultural contexts, people, and places of Kyoto.
Starting in June 2026, Asterisk-in-Residence Kyoto will launch a monthly presentation + exchange event on the second Thursday of every month. This gathering invites international creators staying in Kyoto to share their self-introductions, ongoing research, creative processes, and reflections from their time in the city. Rather than focusing on finished outcomes, each session creates an open space to share work-in-progress ideas and connect with Kyoto-based cultural practitioners, businesses, students, residency organizations, and local communities.

👤 Who is it for?
- International creators currently staying in Kyoto (or planning to stay soon) who are interested in expanding their local network
- People interested in artist residencies, research, and creative practice
- Cultural practitioners, businesses, students, residency organizations, and coordinators interested in connecting with creators in Kyoto
🎤 Presentation format
Approx. 5 minutes / English or Japanese
Japanese interpretation will be provided for English presentations.

アスタリスク・イン・レジデンス京都は、京都市が支援するプロジェクトで、海外クリエイターと京都の文化的文脈、人、場所をつなぐ「創造的滞在」を目的としています。
2026年6月より、京都に滞在中の海外クリエイターによる月例のプレゼンテーション＆交流イベントを開催します。自己紹介やリサーチ、制作プロセス、京都での滞在中の気づきなどを共有し、京都の文化関係者、事業者、学生、レジデンス関係者、地域の方々とつながるための場です。各回では、短いプレゼンテーションのあと、参加者同士のカジュアルな交流の時間を設けます。
