I. Countdown to IASGO 2026 Busan
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
The excitement continues to build as we approach the 37th IASGO World Congress, to be held in Busan, Republic of Korea, September 9–11, 2026.
With an outstanding scientific program, internationally renowned faculty, multidisciplinary sessions, and extensive networking opportunities, IASGO 2026 promises to be one of the most important meetings in gastrointestinal surgery, oncology, transplantation, and digestive diseases this year.
The Organizing Committee and IASGO leadership are working closely together to deliver an exceptional Congress that reflects our shared commitment to education, innovation, and international collaboration.
Early Bird Registration Ends July 15
There are only a few days left to take advantage of Early Bird Registration, which closes on July 15, 2026.
If you have not yet registered, we encourage you to do so now and join colleagues from around the world for three days of outstanding science, education, and friendship in Busan.
We look forward to welcoming both long-standing IASGO members and many first-time participants to Korea this September.
II. FASGO Applications – Extended Opportunity
IASGO is committed to recognizing members who have made significant contributions to our Association and to the advancement of gastrointestinal surgery, oncology, transplantation, and related disciplines.
While the official application period has closed, the IASGO leadership has decided to extend the opportunity to express interest in Fellowship of the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (FASGO) until July 31, 2026.
We highly encourage Active IASGO Members who have contributed to our educational mission and international activities to apply. For eligibility details including your membership status and additional information regarding the Fellowship process, please visit https://www.iasgo.com/apply-for-fasgo-membership/
or contact the IASGO Office at [email protected] before July 31, 2026.
Selected applicants will be formally recognized and given the certificate of FASGO designation on site during the General Assembly at IASGO 2026.
