The Saint Maur Charity Committee serves Saint Maur International School to strengthen the impact of its community by supporting meaningful fundraisers and fostering a spirit of compassion, giving and kindness.

This June, 10 Saint Maur students will travel to Siem Reap, Cambodia with Habitat for Humanity.

Working alongside local communities, they will help build a home for a family in need, supporting access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.

If you would like to support this meaningful project, donations can be made via the school website. All contributions go directly to the build, with none used to fund the students’ travel.

Our friends and neighbours at Yokohama Christian School are having their Spring Fair this Saturday. So if you have some time and want to enjoy some family-friendly activities, pop in to enjoy their event; just like they support and encourage our events.

The weather was cold, windy and rainy on Tuesday but our Friends in Need still rely on us to be there to greet them and share sandwiches. We are so grateful to have students, parents and teachers who help every week in every kind of weather

The Elementary School Student Council had a very successful campaign supporting the KSPCA animal shelter. With the school community's support, they collected 246 towels & blankets and 53,589 yen in donations. Well done to all those involved in the "We Love Animals" campaign caring for animal welfare and sharing awareness.

Each Tuesday we go out to Kannai to meet our Friends in Need. We don't just give out sandwiches, we also show up each week to tell them that they matter, that we care and that we are all part of a community. We go out, have fun, practice our Japanese and do good for others. Thank you to all those who help us make it happen.

Thank you so much for joining us for Quiz Night!
Thanks to your incredible support, we were able to raise 146,000 yen at the Quiz Night. This amount will help us cover at least three months of food purchases for our friends in need in Kannai, or be directed toward other charitable causes. Your participation truly makes a meaningful difference.

Thanks to the generous donations of cup noodles from the Boutard family, we were able to give our Friends in Need something that they don't alway get; a choice! Our students used their Japanese to help each Friend choose which cup noodle they wanted to take home; chicken, spicy or beef. It was such a joy for many of them to have choice and an opportunity to tell us their favourite ones. It seem like a little thing perhaps but for those living in difficult situations, choice is a privilege.

Although the season of giving has ended, our hearts are still full. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our parents, we are heading into the New Year with happy bags still ready for distribution next week.
Your kindness, support, and willingness to give have made a meaningful difference, and none of this would be possible without you. What a beautiful way to begin the new year, with gratitude, compassion, and community.

This morning, we had the joy of delivering 37 pairs of shoes to the children at the Yokohama Christian School and Home for the Visually Impaired; all beautifully wrapped, decorated, and prepared with love.

This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the kindness and generosity of our wonderful families. Your contributions helped ensure that each child receives not just a new pair of shoes, but a reminder that they are cared for and supported by a wider community.

Thank you for helping us make a meaningful difference.

Together, we continue to shine a little more light into the world.

Extending our heartfelt gratitude to our entire community for your incredible generosity of time, effort, intention, and energy. Over the past weeks, we have witnessed an overwhelming spirit of kindness that truly reflects the heart of our school.

Thanks to your support, we received about 220 Happy Bags, with 150 distributed yesterday. In addition, our parents, staff, and teachers came together to sponsor a delicious Christmas meal for our friends in need in Kannai. We were able to share karaage and rice bentos, mikan, boiled eggs, Happy Bags filled with goodies, candy canes, warm clothes, tents, and plenty of festive Christmas cheer.
