12/6、新横浜でオルタナティブ生活館40周年企画として、「プラスチックピープル」が上映されました。午前・午後合わせて85名の方々においでいただき大盛況で、ラスチック問題や環境問題への関心が高まりを実感しました。非常に難しいテーマではありますが、あきらめることなく活動している人たちが世界中にいることも知り、勇気をもらいました。
小島さんのセミナーは非常に勉強になった、学校や企業でこのような話をしてほしい、との感想もいただきました。

🌍 From 5–14 August 2025, governments and stakeholders will gather at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, for INC-5.2, the second part of the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to finalize a legally binding global treaty on plastic pollution.

📣 This is a pivotal moment. Countries must seize this opportunity to establish strong, legally binding global control measures that address the entire life cycle of plastics, fulfilling the UNEA 5/14 mandate and supporting a health-protective treaty.

🌏 In this critical context, IPEN and Participating Organizations from Southeast and East Asia are raising our collective voice to amplify the calls of frontline communities, impacted populations and ecosystems, and civil society for a strong, inclusive, and ambitious plastics treaty.

✊ The INC5.2 must fix process flaws, reinforce civil society participation, and deliver real solutions to the plastics crisis.

プラスチック条約　いよいよあす再開

今朝（８月４日）の東京新聞、よくまとまっています。特に、左上の各国立場の図。
それにしても日本の立ち位置というか、主張が見えない。中庸という名の、○○路線。

時差の都合で明日になりますが、注目です。
文末にある（写真外）、「再び合意に失敗すれば、条約は不要だとの議論が起こりかねない」、そんな事態はぜひ避けていただきたい。

国際プラスチック条約の論点とドキュメンタリー映画上映

この８月にジュネーブで行われる国際プラスチック条約への最終ステップINC5-2 での論点を自分なりにまとめ図にしてみました。

この論点を網羅しているドキュメンタリー映画「プラスチックピープル」が、８月３０日京都で上映されます。
上映後には、INC5-2 の成果が解説されます。

関西地区では、最初の上映になります。
