あめが　たくさんふる　「梅雨（つゆ）」。

かんじの　なかに　「梅（うめ）」　がありますよね！
これは、梅（うめ）の　み　があおくなる　きせつに　「つゆ」に
なるからだそうです。

梅で　ほぞんしょく　 をつくることを　「うめしごと」と　いいます。

しぜんのリズムを　かんじながら
梅シロップや　うめぼしを　つくるのも　いいかもしれません☔

The rainy season in Japan is called "tsuyu".

Have you noticed that it has "plum" in it when written in Chinese characters (kanji)?
It is said that this is because the tsuyu comes when plums ripen into green.

Making preserved foods with plums is called "ume shigoto" (plum works).
Why don't we try "ume shigoto" and feel the rhythm of nature?

あついひは　はだが　べとべとします🥲

つゆがおわると、あつい　なつです。

あめのときは、いえで かんたんなこうさくをして たのしめます。

Japan’s rainy season starts in early summer, between June and July, depending on the region. The period is called Tsuyu (梅雨, also pronounced baiu), literally meaning "plum rain", because its rainy season matches plum picking season. The humidity reaches 90-100%, and when it’s hot, it starts to become sticky and quite uncomfortable. A huge typhoon is here too - stay safe!!

There are perhaps two main issues you’d have to deal with during this season:
the mold around the house, and frizzy hair.

Some people get stressed out because we have to stay home during the heavy rain. Common symptoms are fatigue, headache, depression, and loss of appetite.😔
Let us keep ourselves healthy - some regular exercise and keeping a healthy diet are good ways✨

Rainy days can make anyone restless, but especially young children who have lots of energy. When it's pouring outside, make playing inside fun with these super simple rainy-day crafts.

We can enjoy crafts making A teru teru bōzu (てるてる坊主), which is small traditional craft made with tissue paper or cloth. We hang it at the windows in hope of sunny weather.
