修善寺 紙谷和紙工房で和紙漉き体験、その後、
修善寺温泉街散策ツアーに参加しました！
【修善寺 紙谷和紙工房 和紙漉き体験】
修善寺 紙谷和紙工房では和紙職人の舛田さんが、修善寺に伝わる伝統的和紙『修善寺紙』の紙漉きを教えてくださいます。
紙の原料となるミツマタの畑が工房の目の前にあります。この植物がどのような工程を経て紙になっていくのかを実物を見ながら学ぶことができ、とても面白いです。この過程を目の当たりにすると、紙に対する見方が変わるかもしれません。
紙漉き体験では舛田さんの丁寧なご指導のもと、参加者全員楽しく紙を作ることができました！
紙漉きだけでなく、1000年とも言われる修善寺紙の歴史を学んだり、ミツマタやコウゾが栽培されている畑へお散歩したりと楽しい体験をさせていただきました😊
舛田さんは英語対応もされているので、海外からのお客様も体験可能です。

【修善寺温泉散策ツアーby 修善寺SGG】
紙漉きの後は修善寺温泉街に移動し、修善寺SGGさんによる散策ツアーが行われました。
修禅寺、竹林の小径、指月殿などミシュラン二つ星のスポットを中心に巡り、修善寺温泉の由来や源頼家に関する逸話など、貴重なお話を聞くことができました😊 修禅寺の境内では、寒桜が見頃でとても綺麗でした🌸

【Japanese paper-making workshop】
Have you ever heard Washi? It is traditional Japanese paper. In Shuzenji, people used to make excellent paper, which was used by Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first sh**un of Tokugawa sh**unate (1603 -1867). The production of the paper was once stopped due to the Western paper technology, but it was revived by the local volunteers. Mr. Masuda succeeded the traditional paper- making skill from the local, and now he teaches us how to make the paper in English! Why don't you try making traditional Japanese paper?
