🎊 HAPPY OBON WEEK 🎊

Happy Obon week from the Iwakuni Entrepreneurs Association!

What is Obon week? Obon is a Japanese Buddhist custom that honors the spirits of ancestors, typically observed over a three-day period in August. It's a time for families to return to their ancestral homes, visit graves, and participate in traditional events like Bon Odori (a type of folk dance). The holiday is not a formal national holiday but is widely observed with many businesses and schools taking time off. Obon is observed from August 13th - August 15th

The Iwakuni Spouse Club is looking for donations for our upcoming silent auction on Friday, March 7th! Our goal is to receive a donated basket or item from every unit on base, as well as SJA-approved businesses.

Donations can range from any price point. ALL proceeds go directly to our Scholarships for Spouses and graduating High School Seniors!!
All donated items must be received no later than March 3rd.
