🌸📚 母の視点から見る、ルーム・トゥ・リードの女子教育｜ベトナム訪問レポート 🇻🇳✨

5月10日は母の日。
お母さんへの感謝とともに、
「子どもたちにどんな未来を歩んでほしいか」
を改めて考える日です。
その想いは、国や環境が違っても変わりません。
今回、ルーム・トゥ・リードを長年支えてくださっているリージョナルボードメンバーのゴールデン エリック・綾子ご家族がベトナムを訪問し、女子教育プログラムを視察しました。
👩👧👧 双子のお子さんを育てる母でもある綾子さんが出会ったのは、
ライフスキルの授業で目を輝かせながら、自分の一日を語る少女たち。
「多くの生徒が、朝5時に起きて家事を手伝い、
その後、学校へ通っています。
勉強と家庭の役割を両立しながら、
それでも『学校に行くのが楽しみ』
と話す姿が、とても印象的でした。
生まれた場所に関わらず、
すべての子どもが学び、夢を描く権利があります」

🌸📚 Girls’ Education Through a Mother’s Eyes | Vietnam Field Visit Report 🇻🇳✨
May 10 is Mother’s Day — a time not only to express gratitude to mothers, but also to reflect on the future we hope for our children.
Recently, long-time Room to Read supporters and Regional Board members Eric and Ayako Golden visited Vietnam with their family to observe our Girls’ Education Program.
👩👧👧 Ayako, who is also a mother of twins, met girls who spoke enthusiastically about their daily lives during a life skills class.
“Many of the students wake up at 5 a.m. to help with household chores before going to school.
They balance studying with responsibilities at home, and yet they still say, ‘I look forward to going to school.’
That deeply moved me.
No matter where a child is born, every child deserves the right to learn and dream.”
