11月1日（日）、トーランスのArmstrong Theatreにて、「2026 Grand Fall Music Festival（第2回秋の大歌謡祭）」が開催されます。

当日は、歌謡ステージをはじめ、フラメンコ、阿波踊り、フラダンス、沖縄エイサーなど、さまざまなジャンルの華やかなパフォーマンスが披露されます。

今年は、南加宮城県人会のキッズメンバーもフラダンスで出演します。日頃の練習の成果を披露する貴重な機会となりますので、ぜひ会場で温かいご声援をお送りください。

また、Keiroのご支援により、80歳以上の方は入場無料です。リトル東京から会場までの往復送迎バスも運行予定ですので、ご家族やご友人とお誘い合わせのうえ、ぜひお越しください。

音楽と舞踊に彩られた、秋の華やかなひとときをお楽しみください。

On Sunday, November 1, the 2026 Grand Fall Music Festival (2nd Annual Autumn Grand Song Festival) will be held at the Armstrong Theatre in Torrance.

The program will feature a variety of exciting performances, including traditional Japanese songs, flamenco, Awa Odori, hula dancing, and Okinawan Eisa.

This year, the children’s members of the Southern California Miyagi Kenjinkai will also perform a hula dance. After practicing diligently, they are excited to share their hard work with the community. We warmly invite you to come and support them.

Thanks to the generous support of Keiro, admission is free for guests age 80 and older. Round-trip shuttle service from Little Tokyo to the venue is also scheduled to be available. Please join us with your family and friends.

Enjoy an afternoon filled with music, dance, and vibrant cultural performances.

南加宮城県人会　敬老の日イベント✨

シニア会員の皆様をご招待し、SFVにある千葉レストランにて夕食会を開催しました。

美味しいお食事を囲みながら、世代を超えて交流することができ、笑顔あふれる温かな時間となりました。

そして嬉しいご縁も✨
96歳の前会長・米澤さんに、なんと同級生のお友達ができました！

さらに、このたび新しく会員になってくださった平野ファミリーもご参加くださいました。

今回は日頃の感謝を込めて、私たちからご馳走させていただきたいという思いでお招きしたのですが、逆にシニアの皆様より温かいご寄付まで頂戴し、恐縮するばかりでした。

いつも南加宮城県人会を長年支えてくださっているシニア会員の皆様に、改めて心より感謝申し上げます。

これからもこうしたご縁を大切に、皆様と楽しい時間を重ねていけたらと思います。

Southern California Miyagi Kenjinkai – Respect for Senior Member Day ✨

We invited our senior members to a special dinner at Chiba Restaurant in the San Fernando Valley.

We had hoped to treat everyone as a small gesture of appreciation, but instead, we were deeply touched to receive a generous donation from our senior members as well. We are truly grateful for their continued kindness and support.

We also had a wonderful new connection! Our 96-year-old former president, Mr. Yonezawa, made a new friend his own age!

And a very warm welcome to the Hirano family, who recently joined our Kenjinkai. Welcome to the Southern California Miyagi Kenjinkai!

It was a heartwarming evening filled with delicious food, wonderful conversations, and connections across generations.

We are sincerely grateful to all of our senior members who have supported the Southern California Miyagi Kenjinkai throughout the years, and we look forward to creating many more special memories together.

敬老の日フェスティバルで共同ブースでご一緒してくださった関西クラブ、愛媛県人会の皆さま、ボランティアの皆様、本当にありがとうございました。

猛暑の中での出展でしたが、皆さんと一緒だったおかげで、終始楽しく和やかな雰囲気で参加することができました。

こうして県人会同士で交流しながら、一緒にイベントを盛り上げられたことをとても嬉しく思います。

改めて、関西クラブ・愛媛県人会・ボランティアの皆さまに心より感謝いたします！

9月12日（土）、リトル東京の西本願寺で開催された「Keiro no Hi Festival 2026」に、南加宮城県人会として出展しました。

また、今回はこれまで以上に宮城県の観光パンフレットにも多くの方が関心を寄せてくださり、「ぜひ宮城を訪れてみたい」といった嬉しいお声もいただきました。

宮城の魅力を直接お伝えし、PRする機会にも恵まれ嬉しく思います。

また、以前宮城県にお住まいだった方にもお会いすることができ、南加宮城県人会の活動にも興味を持っていただけたことを、とても嬉しく感じました。

こうしたイベントを通して、宮城にゆかりのある方々との新しいご縁が広がっていくことも、県人会活動の大きな喜びです。

そして今回、ブースをご一緒してくださった愛媛県人会・関西クラブの皆さまにも心より感謝いたします。皆さまのおかげで、暑い中でも和気あいあいと楽しく出展することができました。

お立ち寄りくださった皆さま、イベント関係者の皆さま、本当にありがとうございました！

On Saturday, September 12, the Southern California Miyagi Kenjinkai participated in the Keiro no Hi Festival 2026 at the Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in Little Tokyo.

Despite the intense heat, our matcha and hojicha were a big hit, and we were very happy to welcome so many visitors to our booth.

This year, we also received more interest than ever in our Miyagi tourism brochures. We were especially happy to hear comments such as, “I would love to visit Miyagi someday!”

It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce Miyagi and share its many attractions with the local community.

One of the greatest joys of participating in events like this is creating new connections with people who have ties to Miyagi.

A special thank you to the Ehime Kenjinkai and Kansai Club for sharing the booth with us. Thanks to everyone, we were able to enjoy the event together and have a wonderful time despite the heat.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and to all the organizers and volunteers who made the event possible!

岐阜県人会 115周年記念式典 ✨

先日、岐阜県人会の115周年記念式典に出席させていただきました。

心温まるスピーチや素晴らしい演出、そして岐阜の魅力がたくさん詰まった、とても素敵な式典でした✨
「岐阜に行ってみたい！」と思わせてくれる、楽しいひとときとなりました。

南加宮城県人会からは、受付のお手伝いもさせていただきました。

そして、南加宮城県人会も来年2027年に創立125周年を迎えます。
今回の式典では、運営やおもてなしなど参考にさせていただきたいことも多く、私たちにとって大変勉強になる貴重な機会となりました。

岐阜県人会の皆さま、改めまして115周年、誠におめでとうございます！ 🎉
今後ますますのご発展を心よりお祈り申し上げます。

Gifu Kenjinkai 115th Anniversary Celebration ✨

We recently had the pleasure of attending the Gifu Kenjinkai’s 115th Anniversary Celebration.

It was a wonderful event filled with heartfelt speeches, beautiful presentations, and many opportunities to experience the charm and culture of Gifu. By the end of the celebration, we were inspired to visit Gifu ourselves! ✨

Members of the Nanka Miyagi Kenjinkai were also honored to assist with guest reception.

As Nanka Miyagi Kenjinkai will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2027, this event was especially meaningful for us. We learned so much from the wonderful hospitality and organization and came away with many ideas and inspiration for our own anniversary celebration next year.

Congratulations again to the Gifu Kenjinkai on 115 wonderful years! 🎉
Wishing you continued success for many more years to come.

宮城県庁より3名、NYより県職員1名の皆さまにもご来賓としてお越しいただき、まずは千葉レストランで、来年の南加宮城県人会125周年記念式典や今後の宮城PRについて打ち合わせをしました。

千葉レストラン様にたくさんおもてなしいただきご馳走になり、本当にありがとうございました！🙏✨

その後はLACMAへ移動し、会員の皆さんも合流。ポットラックを囲みながらジャズナイトを楽しみ、みんなで宮城の七夕飾りも作りました🎋🎷

宮城について熱く語り、美味しいものと音楽を楽しみながら交流できた、とても楽しく有意義な一日となりました。

125周年に向けて、これからも南カリフォルニアから宮城の魅力を発信していきたいと思います！

We were honored to welcome three representatives from the Miyagi Prefectural Government, as well as a Miyagi representative from New York.

We first met at Chiba Restaurant to discuss next year’s 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Southern California Miyagi Kenjinkai and ideas for promoting Miyagi in the U.S. A big thank you for treating us to so many delicious dishes! 🙏✨

Afterward, we headed to LACMA, where more of our members joined us for a potluck and Jazz Night 🎷 We also had fun making Miyagi-style Tanabata decorations together 🎋

It was such a fun and meaningful day filled with great conversations, delicious food, music, and Miyagi spirit.

We’re excited for what’s ahead as we prepare for our 125th anniversary and continue sharing Miyagi with Southern California!
