あんどんまつりは天明・天保の大飢饉で亡くなられたご先祖様を弔う為に、約200年前に始まりました。毎年お盆の時期、8月14日と16日に行われます。
The Andon Festival began about 200 years ago to mourn for ancestors who died in the Great Famine of Tenmei and Tempo. It is held on August 14th and 16th every year during Obon.
