米国軍人エンジニア協会は1920年に『市民生活と軍生活の中でエンジニア同士の連帯と協力を促進し、それに見合う戦術と工学の適用の中で、発展に際し専門知識を広め、すべての愛国心と国家安全保障のために最高の基準と職業の伝統を維持管理する』目的で発足しました。

今日、SAMEの使命は、国家安全保障インフラ関連課題の解決方法において、公共団体及び民間団体がともに関心をもたらすように、協同および関係に関して集中することに向けられています。

SAME was founded in 1920 to “promote solidarity and co-operation between engineers in civil and military life, to disseminate technical knowledge bearing upon progress in the art of

war and the application of engineering science thereto, and to preserve and maintain the best standards and traditions of the profession, all in the interests of patriotism and national security.”

Today, SAME’s mission remains focused on collaboration and relationships, of bringing the public and private sectors together in the interests of resolving national security infrastructure-related challenges.
