Rapid ageing of various societies is a demographic process which is having a major impact on many countries, for example, in terms of employment, welfare services and family lives. Concerning life after retirement, although the infrastructure to support men looking for second careers is forming in local areas, the measures to address issues related to women, such as the maximization of their workforce productivity or their share of regional challenges, are underdeveloped. Moreover, many women, whether holding jobs and or working in the local community, must importantly face the care of their own parents or parents-in-law. Given the above trends, the international conference -Working Women in an Ageing Society- is organized to specifically analyze strategies employed by Canada, some Asian countries as well as Eurozone nations to maximize the capacities of Working Women in an Ageing Society. In addition, we will introduce the Japan’s Continuing Care Retirement Community model and exchange innovative new ideas to promote for women a better ageing society. WWAS告知文
高齢化問題は多くの国において、さまざまな課題に大きなインパクトを与えています。「エイジノミクス」は、エイジノミクス研究会が提唱する概念で、エイジング（高齢化）という人口構造の変化をイノベーションの機会と捉え、持続可能な経済のあり方を考察するものです。こうした背景を受けて、福岡女子大学と九州大学、イギリスの非営利団体のSALTなどが主催して、「高齢化社会における働く女性」をテーマにしたWWAS（Working Women in an Ageing Society）2016国際会議を2016年６月３日（金）～５日（日）の３日間、福岡国際会議場において開催します。本国際会議は、（公社）福岡県高齢者能力活用センターの設立20周年記念事業としても位置づけられております。
この会議では、「高齢者×女性×働く」のテーマに関わる国内外の専門家、行政関係者、実践者、市民が参加し、アメリカ、日本、シンガポール、イギリスなどにおける取り組みを比較分析すると共に、女性や高齢者が大いに活躍し、社会の担い手としての高齢者がいきいきと暮らすコミュニティづくりに資する事例紹介や議論が交わされます。
学術プレゼンテーション、パネル討論、ポスター発表などによるシンポジウムと、ビジネスセミナー、ロールモデルリレートーク、グローカル・カフェなどで構成するオープン・フォーラムを通して、女性にとってもよりよい高齢化社会の新しい提案がされることをめざします。早期登録及びその他詳細については下記のウェブサイトをご覧ください。
