Imagine having an hour this Sunday where you can pause, think about your teaching, and reconnect with why you started.

This is what a TEMI session looks like.

Teachers across Japan (and beyond), sharing ideas, comparing what’s working, and learning from real classroom experience.

💚 You pick up ideas you can use the very next week.
💚 You hear what’s actually working from teachers in Japan.
💚 And you leave feeling recharged and motivated.

All of this is included as part of your annual TEMI membership.

We have a session this Sunday at 11am!

One hour. Practical ideas. Real teachers.
A good way to reset before the week ahead.

But none grow without care.

TEMI founder Helene Uchida’s latest blog is a beautiful reminder of what teaching really means.

Question:

As EFL teachers, how do we organize students in a balanced manner and create a positive atmosphere in the classroom for future studies?

The four F's...

Friendly, Firm, Fair, and Focused.

If the teacher is friendly, the students will take advantage of it, and if the teacher is just firm, they will be uncomfortable with the severity.

If the teacher is fair, the class will lack change and punch, and if the teacher is focused, the students will lose interest.

However, if the teacher can strike a good balance between friendliness, firmness, fairness and being focused, the classroom will create an atmosphere that creates positive experiences.

Students will also be drawn to teachers, peers, and the subject itself.

A balanced combination of these four F's is the foundation for creating a good experience in the classroom.

It will also open the door to the fifth secret F... fullfillment!
