Kyushu University Foreign Students Association 九州大学留学生会 - KUFSA

We work to create a comfortable and pleasant environment for foreign students of Kyushu University in order to make their stay and studies more fruitful.

KUFSA (Kyushu University Foreign Students Association) is an organization that represents all foreign students enrolled at Kyushu University (Kyudai). Every year, Kyudai opens its doors to foreign students from various countries and this enables them to automatically become members of KUFSA. Nowadays, KUFSA has students representing up to 70 nationalities, thus fusing culture and customs from all

around the world. To ensure these students' happiness, various activities that promote a healthy environment and balance of daily life, study and play, are conducted annually. Our goal is to promote cooperation, collaboration and friendship not only among foreigners, but also with Japanese people. In ensuring a strong bridge between Japan and the world, KUFSA highlights useful information about living in Fukuoka. We wish that you enjoy your stay and capture many wonderful life challenging experiences, as well as fond memories that will resonate within you. May your studies be fruitful and your life be enriched.

🎉 Join the Cooking Challenge 2026! 🍳✨

This is a special international cooking event hosted by Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine in collaboration with KUFSA!

Participants will form their own teams — 4 people per team — and cook together at the event. Each team will prepare 3 dishes and 1 dessert using a ¥30,000 budget.

🎃 Food budget per team: ¥30,000
🎁 Special gifts after the event!

On July 4, the KUFSA Travel Department took us on an amazing trip across some of Kyushu’s beautiful destinations. 🌿⛩️

From exploring historic streets and peaceful shrines to enjoying breathtaking scenery, it was a day filled with laughter, new friendships, and wonderful memories. 💙

🕒✨ On June 10th, KUFSA members had the wonderful opportunity to join the children of Jiseien Nursery School in celebrating Time Day (時の記念日)!
During the visit, we shared our cultures and introduced different time zones from around the world through interactive activities and games. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn from one another, exchange perspectives, and spend meaningful time together.

The children’s enthusiasm, curiosity, and warm welcome made the experience especially memorable for all of us. We are grateful to Jiseien Nursery School for inviting us and creating such a heartwarming environment for cultural exchange.
