🌍 Today, the 1st IOAPT Webinar – “International Aquatic Physiotherapy Documents” – took place!

This webinar focused on the presentation of two key documents:
📌 Aquatic Physiotherapist’s Skills Profile
📌 International Guidelines and Good Practice Standards for Aquatic Physiotherapy Intervention

The session was delivered by César Sá (Portugal), IOAPT President, and Yara Humarán Martínez (Puerto Rico), Member of the IOAPT Executive Committee.

These documents represent an important step in defining the identity of aquatic physiotherapists at an international level, promoting high-quality, safe, and evidence-based practice, while reflecting the diverse realities of professionals worldwide.

With over 500 registrations from more than 70 countries, the webinar highlighted the global reach and growing engagement within the aquatic physiotherapy community.

Together, we are shaping the future of aquatic physiotherapy worldwide. 🌎👏🩵💧

Last week, the IOAPT was honored to contribute to an international webinar organized by the International Committee of the Japanese Society of Physical Therapy (JSPT), bringing together physiotherapists and students from Japan. 🇯🇵🌏

Under the title “IOAPT and the Latest Evidence in Aquatic Physiotherapy Practice”, the IOAPT President César Sá shared current scientific evidence, clinical perspectives, and key reflections on contemporary aquatic physiotherapy practice. This webinar provided an important platform for international knowledge exchange, critical discussion, and the strengthening of global collaboration in aquatic physiotherapy. 📚💧

The IOAPT sincerely thanks the Japanese Society of Physical Therapy and to for the invitation and all participants for their engagement and interest.
