Meta(旧Facebook)COO シェリル・サンドバーグ氏による著書 "Lean In" では、女性が野望を持ち、挑戦することを訴えています。そこで、実際に女性に行動を起こしてもらうために作った団体がLean In.Org。このLean Inのサークルの日本代表として、この理念に共感し、社会を少しでも変えていきたい！と考えている人で構成されるNetworkがLean In Tokyoです。
Lean Inサークルは、自主運営・非営利団体組織で、定期的にメンバーが会い、活動をすることで、お互いを支え合うことを目的としています。世界中で50,000以上のグループがあり、それぞれが活動をしています。
Lean In Tokyoでは、東京でゲストスピーカーを招いた講演会やネットワーキングなど、女性が挑戦・活躍するためのきっかけとなるイベント開催をメインの活動としています。

This is a community for those who want to make our society that women can pursue their ambitions based on the idea of "lean in" by Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook. Our activities are focusing on events where we invite professionals from all the industries as a speaker. In addition to these events, we have networking events using discussion materials from LeanIn.org. We are just more than networking group, as we focus on every member's personal and professional growth by sharing goals, viewopoints and challenges alike.
