An international solidarity rally was held at the Chiba Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hall on the 2nd, the day before the 11 3 National Workers ’ Assembly. 230 people gathered together and determined to fight together.
Chairperson Seki gave a speech to the organizers, followed by a solidarity speech by Chairperson Kinosh*ta of the Minato Joint Shoichi Metal Branch, and a special appeal from Ms. Sako Shimizu of the Miyakojima Residents ’ Liaison Group for No Missile Bases.
From overseas delegates, Kim Hye-jeong, senior vice president of the KCTU Seoul Regional Headquarters, Mr. Sung-dong Joo, vice president of the Asahi Glass Branch, and Ms. Yi-yong Min, representatives of the German Railway Workers ’ Network, SI-COBAS of Italy, and Conrutas of Brazil, expressed their determination one after another.
Statements were also made by Ms. Maten-tenwu of the Burmese Citizens ’ Union in Japan, Ms. Isa Chung, a third-generation resident in Japan and third-generation A-bomb survivor, and a fellow Sri Lankan resident in Japan who is applying for refugee status. Finally, Ms. Yuko Kamata of the Doro Chiba International Solidarity Committee presented a summary.
After the meeting, a welcome party was held to deepen the solidarity of the foreign delegates.
