Statement from JAKIM (Malaysian Halal Certification Body) about NAHA Halal Mark abuse. Brothers and sisters, its humble request to read about the matter then repost. Without proper investigation, repost is against Islamic Teachings.

Penjelasan Isu Penyalahgunaan Logo Halal NAHA, Jepun

1. Bahagian Pengurusan Halal JAKIM menerima banyak pertanyaan daripada para pengguna di media sosial berkaitan isu status halal produk Instant Rice Noodle yang tertera tulisan pork bone broth flavor di label pembungkusan.

2. Kekeliruan mulai timbul apabila tertera logo halal Nippon Asia Halal Association (NAHA) pada label pembungkusan produk tersebut. Untuk makluman, NAHA merupakan badan pensijilan halal luar negara yang diiktiraf oleh JAKIM di negara Jepun. Isu ini telah mengundang pelbagai tuduhan dan persepsi buruk kepada badan pensijilan halal berkenaan yang didakwa memberikan pensijilan halal pada produk yang tidak halal.

3. Untuk makluman semua, isu ini merupakan isu yang berulang namun ditularkan kembali oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab. Pihak NAHA telah pun mengeluarkan kenyataan rasmi berkenaan isu ini pada tahun 2022 di pautan berikut: https://web.nipponasia-halal.org/archives/1788 #:~:text=We%20are%20sea

4. Pihak NAHA telah memaklumkan bahawa badan pensijilan halal berkenaan tidak pernah memberikan pengesahan halal pada produk tersebut dan tindakan yang sewajarnya telah diambil terhadap syarikat berkenaan. Pihak NAHA juga memaklumkan bahawa, produk tersebut telah dijual di pasaran Thailand sebelum ini dan NAHA telah mengarahkan pihak syarikat untuk membuat proses panggil balik produk. Tindakan bagi mengatasi perkara ini juga telah dimaklumkan oleh pihak NAHA di Facebook pada tahun 2022. To whom it may Concern

Recently in Japan number of foreign tourist specially Muslims are increasing day by day. Japan country is trying their best to fulfill the needs of food, prayer places. It has been noticed that many restaurants who wished to provide Halal Foods, unfortunately self declare themselves as halal by buying one variety of halal certified meat only. It is to inform everyone that just by providing halal certified meat is not enough in Halal certified Restaurants. It is necessary that Muslim people care more about Halal Certified Restaurants rather than just Halal meat. To assure quality of Halal Integrity, third party Halal Certification is must. Currently there are 6 Halal Certification Bodies recognized by JAKIM Malaysia in Japan. Muslim consumers are requested to confirm halal certification by these organizations. There are few other Halal CBs are also helping but they are not famous. If you see an unknown halal certification, please send us message to confirm.
