【日本文化の体験イベントのご案内】
※SPARKLEの主催イベントではありません。

別府市内で活動されている「文字屋泰じろう」さんが、日本語の筆文字体験教室に参加してみたい留学生や外国人の方を募集しています。
漢字の形や成り立ち・意味を知るだけでなく、実際に筆をもって文字を書いてみる体験ができます。また、自分が書いた文字をTシャツやかばんにつけて、オリジナルの作品を作ることもできます。
必要な道具は特になく、体験料金は1名につき4,000円とのことです。2名から受け付けてくれるそうですので、お友達と一緒に参加してみるのはいかがでしょうか？🙂

【Japanese Culture Experience Event】
※This is not a SPARKLE-hosted event.

A local calligraphy artist in Beppu, Mojiya-Yasujirou, is looking for international students and foreign residents who would like to join a Japanese brush calligraphy workshop.

In this workshop, you will not only learn about the shapes, origins, and meanings of kanji, but also have the opportunity to write characters yourself using a traditional brush. You can even create your own original T-shirt or bag featuring the character you write.

No special materials are required. The participation fee is ¥4,000 per person. The workshop is available for groups of two or more, so why not join with a friend? 🙂

Sparkle will host a special booth for “Relocation Consultations for Foreign Residents” at the Oita Relocation Festival, organized by Oita Prefecture.

We provide professional one-on-one consultations for foreign residents living in the Osaka, Kansai area who are interested in living and working in rural Japan.

おおいたけんに、震度５以上の地震や、おおきな津波や、特別警報（とくべつけいほう）が　でたときには、
「おおいたけん災害対策本部（さいがいたいさくほんぶ）」ができます。
そのときは、英語、中国語、韓国語、やさしい日本語による、
「大分県災害時多言語情報センター」ができますので、チェックしてください。
（2026/7/28　の地震は、震度３や４だったので、センターはひらいていません）
When an earthquake of seismic intensity 5-upper or higher, a major tsunami warning, or an Emergency Warning is issued in Oita Prefecture, the Oita Prefectural Disaster Response Headquarters will be established.
During such events, the Oita Prefecture Multilingual Disaster Information Center will provide information in English, Chinese, Korean, and Easy Japanese, so please be sure to check it.
(Note: The center was not opened for the earthquake on July 28, 2026, as the intensity was 3 to 4.)

【イベント情報のシェア】※大分県主催のイベントです。

7月25日（土）に大分市の祝祭の広場で、「おおいた×プリンスエドワードアイランド交流フェア」というイベントが開催されます。

小説「赤毛のアン」シリーズの日本語翻訳を手がけたことで有名な村岡花子さんを祖母に持つ、作家の村岡恵理さんのトークセッションや、大分とカナダに関するクイズコーナー、またバンドやアーティストによるパフォーマンスなど、楽しい内容が盛りだくさんのイベントです！

カナダのグルメを楽しめる飲食ブースや、カナダの国技であるアイスホッケーを体験できるブースなどもあるそうなので、ぜひご家族やお友達と一緒にご来場ください！😄

Oita Prefecture × Prince Edward Island Cultural Exchange Event will be held on July 25, at Shukusai no Hiroba in Oita City.

The event will feature a talk session with author Eri Muraoka, the granddaughter of Hanako Muraoka, who is widely known for translating the Anne of Green Gables series into Japanese. There will also be an Oita and Canada quiz corner, as well as performances by bands and other artists—making for a fun-filled day with something for everyone!

You'll also find food booths serving delicious Canadian cuisine and a hands-on ice hockey experience, where you can try Canada's national sport. Be sure to come along with your family and friends—we look forward to seeing you there! 😄

【Information about Internship Fair for international students】

"Internship Fair for International Students" will be held on July 11th(Sat) at B-con Plaza in Beppu city!
Companies in Oita Prefecture that are interested in working with international students, want to work together on new ideas, or are interested in hiring international students... will be participating on that day. For students, this is a wonderful opportunity to talk directly with the person in charge!
If you are interested in finding a job in Oita Prefecture, or if you would like to have various experiences before graduation, please join us at this fair!
On the day of the fair, we will also hold a "Business Manner Seminar" before the fair.
