عائشة (اسم خيالي لحماية هويتها) امرأة سورية تبلغ من العمر 30 عامًا عاشت حالة عنف أسري ووجدت نفسها محاصرة في شبكة عائلية استغلتها ماليا وعاطفيا. كافحت من أجل وضع حدود مع أقارب زوجها، وشعرت باستمرار أنها مضطرة لقبول المطالب غير المعقولة وتحمل أعباء لا تخصها.

عائشة من النساء اللواتي بدأنا رحلتنا "لا تترك نساء" في الأردن. من خلال جلسات الدعم النفسي، بدأت عائشة تؤكد نفسها تدريجياً، وتتعلم قول لا، وترفض الطلبات غير المبررة، وتهرب من الضغوط المالية. بالتوازي مع المشاركة في دورة تدريبية للخياطة جزء من مكون التمكين الاقتصادي للمشروع لم مكنتها هذه الفرصة من بناء ثقتها فحسب، ولكن أيضاً من بناء مصدر ممكن للدخل المستقل، مما يزيد من استقلالها الذاتي ويقلل من اعتمادها على الآخرين.

قصة عائشة هي واحدة من العديد الذين يحكيون تأثير هذا المشروع الذي يعالج النساء اللواتي يعشن أوضاع من التهميش الاجتماعي الاقتصادي أو المعرضات للمخاطر والعنف أو يعانين من عدم الراحة النفسية.

الدعم النفسي من الأدوات المركزية. يبلغ العديد من النساء عن زيادة الثقة بالنفس، وقدرة أكبر على إدراك مشاعر المرء والتعبير عنها، شعور أكبر بالأمان النفسي، وجودة أفضل للعلاقات الاجتماعية. وتفضل جلسات المجموعة بشكل خاص إنشاء شبكات غير رسمية لدعم الأقران. ليس من غير المألوف أن يستمر المشاركين في دعم بعضهم البعض خارج الاجتماعات، مما يمنح الحياة للروابط التي تعزز الشعور بالانتماء وتقلل من العزلة.

بهذه الطريقة، لا يستجيب المشروع للاحتياجات الفورية فحسب، بل يساهم أيضا في توليد مسارات للاستقلال الذاتي والتحول الدائم.

Aisha (nome di fantasia per proteggerne l’identità) è una donna siriana di 30 anni che viveva una situazione di violenza domestica e si trovava intrappolata in una rete familiare che la sfruttava sia economicamente sia emotivamente. Faticava a stabilire dei confini con i parenti del marito, sentendosi costantemente obbligata ad accettare richieste irragionevoli e a sostenere pesi che non le appartenevano.

Aisha è una delle donne che ha intrapreso il nostro percorso “No Women Left Behind” in Giordania. Attraverso sessioni di supporto psicologico, Aisha ha iniziato gradualmente ad affermarsi, imparando a dire no, a rifiutare richieste indebite e a sottrarsi alle pressioni economiche. Parallelamente, è stata coinvolta in un corso di formazione di cucito, parte della componente di empowerment economico del progetto. Questa opportunità le ha consentito non solo di rafforzare la fiducia in sé stessa, ma anche di costruire una possibile fonte di reddito indipendente, aumentando così la propria autonomia e riducendo la dipendenza dagli altri.

La storia di Aisha è una delle tante che raccontano l’impatto di questo progetto che si rivolge a donne che vivono situazioni di marginalità socio-economica, sono esposte a rischi e violenza o affrontano condizioni di disagio psicologico.

Il supporto psicologico rappresenta uno degli strumenti centrali. Molte donne riportano un aumento della fiducia in sé stesse, una maggiore capacità di riconoscere ed esprimere le proprie emozioni, un più elevato senso di sicurezza psicologica e una migliore qualità delle relazioni sociali. Le sessioni di gruppo, in particolare, favoriscono la creazione di reti informali di supporto tra pari. Non è raro che le partecipanti continuino a sostenersi anche al di fuori degli incontri, dando vita a legami che rafforzano il senso di appartenenza e riducono l’isolamento.

In questo modo, il progetto non si limita a rispondere a bisogni immediati, ma contribuisce a generare percorsi di autonomia e trasformazione duraturi.

Job Opportunity in Mafraq Governorate

The Arab Women Organization of Jordan (AWO) is a civil society organization established in 1970. AWO is dedicated to promoting women's rights and gender equality by providing a safe and supportive environment for women and girls through integrated services, including protection, psychosocial support, awareness programs, and empowerment initiatives.

Project Overview
This project focuses on providing case management services for women, as well as psychosocial support, legal consultations, leadership capacity-building training, livelihood training, and educational and life skills activities. The project aims to empower women and girls and enhance their ability to overcome various challenges by offering comprehensive and multi-faceted support.

As part of this initiative, AWO is seeking to fill the following position in Mafraq Governorate within its specialized team for community services and psychological counseling.

Job Title: Case Manager GBV& CP
Location: Mafraq Governorate
Contract Duration: seven months
Contract Type: Full-time
Application Deadline: [15/3/2025]

Tasks and Responsibilities

Assess the needs of beneficiaries by conducting a comprehensive evaluation to determine the required services and support.

Provide immediate intervention based on the case’s needs to ensure appropriate and timely support.

Refer beneficiaries to specialized institutions and organizations, as well as to services within AWO’s center.

Develop individualized action plans tailored to the needs of each beneficiary.

Provide guidance and initial psychological support to help beneficiaries understand their available options.

Coordinate with service providers to ensure beneficiaries receive the necessary care and support.

Monitor progress and adjust action plans as needed to achieve the desired outcomes.

Train and mentor new staff to ensure the best case management practices are implemented.

Adhere to ethical, legal, and humanitarian standards in all aspects of work.

Document beneficiary data both in hard copy and electronically with full confidentiality, and prepare monthly and quarterly reports.

Attend monthly meetings with UNHCR and participate in necessary project meetings and training sessions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Sociology at a minimum.

At least two years of experience in case management or working with vulnerable populations.

Good knowledge of family protection laws, referral system procedures, and mandatory reporting requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Previous experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.

🎭 Art & Drama Therapy – Mafraq Services Center, AWO
We provided a safe space for women to express their feelings and experiences, and raise awareness about gender-based violence and its psychological and social impacts.
The activity promoted protection and prevention measures while empowering women to use creative expression for emotional release and self-confidence.

"نظّم مركز خدمات جمعية النساء العربيات، وبالتعاون مع مدرسة نسيبة المازنية الأساسية المختلطة، وضمن فعاليات حملة الـ16 يوم لمناهضة العنف ضد النساء، جلسة توعوية حول العنف الإلكتروني الذي تتعرّض له النساء والفتيات.
وهدفت الجلسة إلى تعزيز الوعي بمخاطر العنف الرقمي، وتمكين المشاركات من التعرّف على أساليب الحماية والأمان الرقمي، لما لهذا الموضوع من أهمية كبيرة في حماية النساء والفتيات في الفضاء الإلكتروني والحد من الانتهاكات التي قد يتعرّضن لها.
