Zarqa Life Center The Life Center is a holistic response to the unique challenges faced by the most at risk communities in Zarqa, Jordan.

The Zarqa Life Center is a women's community center that provides a safe space for women to learn languages, participate in counseling, receive vocational training, and attend lectures. More than this, it is a place where women can come and build friendships and drink tea and join in community with one another.

Our work at the Life Center involves improving the lives of local women and their children, including Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians. We provide opportunities for our beneficiaries by offering vocational skills, such as hairdressing and Arabic literacy, to create empowerment and self-sufficiency. We also offer counselling and lectures to equip beneficiaries with coping mechanisms to deal with the various stresses of their unique situations, and to encourage the social integration of refugees in host communities. At the Life Center, we provide a safe space for women to come together to learn, grow, and share their experiences, making our work essential to the local community.
