Launching the Urgent Humanitarian Response Project to Provide Safe Drinking Water to the People of Gaza
In a gathering attended by community representatives, dignitaries, and local leaders, the Urgent Humanitarian Response Project to Provide Safe Drinking Water to the People of Gaza was officially launched, followed by the departure of a convoy of Abdul Salam Yaseen – ETA water trucks from the company’s headquarters in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, marking the start of field water delivery and distribution operations.
Funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and implemented by the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, the project entrusts Abdul Salam Yaseen – ETA with water supply and field implementation activities as part of a humanitarian response aimed at strengthening access to safe drinking water for the population.
The project aims to deliver 500,000 liters of water per day to serve approximately over 100,000 people, through a comprehensive distribution plan covering all areas of the Gaza Strip.
These efforts respond to the growing need for safe drinking water and support continued access amid the ongoing challenges, damage to infrastructure, and limited water resources across the Gaza Strip.
