They had a dream to work among the Deaf and help them have a better life in Jordan. DCC was launched in April 2006 in an apartment in Jabal Amman (Khalid Street) until October 2014 when DCC moved to Abdallah Ghosheh Street, 7th circle. We are proud to open DCC up as place where the deaf community can network and learn from each other. DCC also is a place for the deaf in Jordan to come together and

share in life. We continually observe Jordanian deaf people from all walks of life, ages, job and educational backgrounds gathering together and forming deep friendships with others. We believe that a deaf person has the right to choose a language for himself, a language with which to he can naturally express his thoughts, feeling and ideas. As already noted sign language is very important for deaf community to grow. As a Deaf Centre, we have seen several hundred sign language students coming to learn sign language, include hearing parents of the deaf, deaf who have grown up without sign language, hearing adults involved in interpreting training, and college student eager to learn a new skill among others. We believe that the deaf were created by a good God who loves and cares for the deaf in many different ways: family, social, educational, cultural, professional and more. So this is important to never discriminate against them, but to give value to their ability and natural talent. We should treat them with equality, consideration and respect. DCC also prides itself on being a safe place for the deaf to come together and be accepted as they are.
