It has been held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia for the past two years. Its goal is to empower medical students with the core stones that will enable them to become responsible, open-minded and culturally sensitive leaders in their fields, and to hold intercultural sessions concerned with the idea of human rights and peace to enlighten the minds of medical students to these viable issues.
This year IFMSA-Jo decided to hold this camp in Jordan next August 2014 concentrating on the idea of helping refugees and awareness about the refugee-situation in the Middle East, giving priority for those students interested in disaster management. We believe in training medical students that will not be ignorant to human rights and global issues being well informed and educated on the rights of patient and having the right skills to express their voice through advocacy.
