في إطار جهودها المستمرة لتطوير مهنة العمل الاجتماعي وتعزيز الشراكات الدولية، قامت بعثة من الجمعية الأردنية للعمل الاجتماعي بزيارة رسمية إلى إيرلندا الشمالية، شملت أيضاً زيارة إلى العاصمة دبلن، حيث عقدت لقاءً مهماً مع الجمعية الأيرلندية للأخصائيين الاجتماعيين.
استهل اللقاء بالتعريف بأهم التجارب والممارسات المهنية في مجال العمل الاجتماعي في كلا البلدين، إضافة إلى مناقشة أبرز التحديات التي تواجه المهنة محلياً ودولياً، مثل قضايا الحماية الاجتماعية، ودور الأخصائيين الاجتماعيين في دعم الفئات الأكثر ضعفاً، والتطورات المتعلقة بالسياسات الاجتماعية. كما بحث الطرفان سبل تطوير آليات عملية للتعاون بين الجمعيتين، بما يشمل تبادل الخبرات، وبناء القدرات، وتوسيع آفاق الشراكة المستقبلية.
وقد حضر اللقاء من جانب الجمعية الأيرلندية السيدة Caroline Walker Strong، الرئيس التنفيذي للعمليات (Chief Operations Officer) في الجمعية الأيرلندية للأخصائيين الاجتماعيين، فيما مثّل الجمعية الأردنية كل من الدكتورة سحر مخامرة، والأستاذ أشرف البكور، والأستاذ عبدالله كفاوين. وجاء تنظيم اللقاء بتنسيق من السيدة Carolyn Ewart، المديرة الوطنية للجمعية في إيرلندا الشمالية، التي كان لها دور بارز في تيسير التواصل وترتيب برنامج الزيارة.
وتأتي هذه الزيارة في سياق رؤية الجمعية الأردنية للعمل الاجتماعي لتعزيز حضورها الإقليمي والدولي، وتبادل الخبرات مع الجمعيات المهنية حول العالم، بما يساهم في تطوير قطاع العمل الاجتماعي في الأردن، ويعكس التزامها ببناء شبكة مهنية فاعلة قائمة على التعاون والشراكات المستدامة.
As part of its ongoing efforts to advance the social work profession and strengthen international partnerships, a delegation from the Jordanian Association of Social Work carried out an official visit to Northern Ireland, which also included a stop in Dublin, where they held an important meeting with the Irish Association of Social Workers.
The meeting began with an exchange of key professional experiences and practices in the field of social work in both countries, alongside discussions on the main challenges facing the profession locally and globally. Topics included social protection issues, the role of social workers in supporting the most vulnerable groups, and recent developments in social policies. The two associations also explored practical mechanisms for future cooperation, including knowledge exchange, capacity-building, and expanding opportunities for partnership.
Representing the Irish Association was Ms. Caroline Walker Strong, Chief Operations Officer, while the Jordanian Association was represented by Dr. Sahar Makhamreh, Mr. Ashraf Albkour, and Mr. Abdullah Kawawineh. The meeting was arranged with the support of Ms. Carolyn Ewart, National Director of the British Association of Social Workers-Northern Ireland, who played a key role in facilitating communication and coordinating the visit program.
This visit reflects the vision of the Jordanian Association of Social Work to strengthen its regional and international presence and to exchange expertise with professional associations worldwide. It also highlights the Association’s commitment to developing the social work sector in Jordan and building an effective professional network based on cooperation and sustainable partnerships.
