At the AEE, university of Jordan chapter, we organized a workshop in collaboration with the Royal Scientific Society titled “Building Resilience Through Circularity: Green Innovations in Host Communities.”
The session opened with Eng. Lana Al Taweel, who introduced Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) technologies, supported by real Jordanian case studies by Eng. Zuhair Samadi, The session involved an interactive student activity where participants collaborated to propose practical solutions to different industries waste.
Next, Eng. Abed Alghani Arab delivered an insightful talk on climate change, exploring its large impacts on ecosystems and emphasizing the importance of sustainable and adaptive responses.
The workshop concluded with Eng. Ahmad Alhaj, who introduced the concepts of energy management and efficiency, clearly distinguishing between energy conservation and energy efficiency, and discussing practical ways to improve energy use starting from the household level to our industries.
The workshop focused on advancing sustainability through circular economy principles, highlighting how resource efficiency, waste reduction, and innovative environmental practices can strengthen resilience in host communities.
