رينالو، عاملة منزلية، تلقت جلسة توعوية حول العنف الرقمي نظمتها المنظمة الدولية للهجرة، وهو شكل متزايد من الإساءة يؤثر على العديد من النساء عبر الإنترنت. تعرّفت على المخاطر التي تواجهها العاملات المنزليات، والإشارات التحذيرية مثل الرسائل غير المرغوب فيها والاحتيال عبر الإنترنت، وطرق عملية لحماية المعلومات الشخصية. اعتمادًا على ما تعلمته، بدأت رينالو الآن بمشاركة معرفتها مع مجتمعها لمساعدة الأخريات على البقاء في أمان على الإنترنت. تجربتها تبرز أهمية رفع الوعي وحماية النساء خلال حملة الـ16 يومًا من النشاط العالمي لإنهاء العنف ضد النساء والفتيات.

Green Iris Jordan recently held a Sustainable Recycle Revive Art event in Amman, where one of our artists, Snarfle Snarf, proudly participated.

The mission of Green Iris is to keep Amman green and beautiful by promoting environmental sustainability, supporting creative recycling initiatives, and beautifying public spaces through art.

Their projects aim to inspire the community to care for the environment while adding vibrant, meaningful artwork across the city.

🎬✨ Film Showing: Hidden Figures | Celebrating International Women’s Month ✨🎬

In celebration of International Women’s Month, PE-MWO-OWWA Jordan hosted a special screening of Hidden Figures. This inspiring film tells the story of three brilliant African-American women—Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson—who played a crucial role in NASA’s space missions. Despite facing racial and gender discrimination, their perseverance and intelligence broke barriers, proving that women belong in every field, including science and technology.

The event was facilitated by Prof. Jeromel Lara and Bernie Peñaflor of Pintakutura and was formally opened by Assistant Labor Attaché John Vincent Baginda and Welfare Officer Rosalin Lavin at the Migrant Workers Office in Jordan.

To make the celebration even more engaging, participants enjoyed interactive Kahoot games, featuring educational and informative questions about PE-MWO and OWWA services. The attendees described it as a fun, educational, and empowering experience—a true reminder of the strength and resilience of women everywhere!
