Makini is a non-profit initiative that aims to empower and support orphans as they become independent adults and leave their orphanage or homes. This will mainly be done through supporting them to continue their secondary education, pursue higher education, attain vocational training, and find employment to support themselves and develop their skills. Makini will also assist the orphans with day-to-day necessities such as securing shelter, food, clothing and income. Makini is not a direct funder, instead we work at connecting individuals with orphans who they may sponsor directly.
