The Feed the Future Jordan Nutrition Innovation Lab (JNIL) is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Jordan as part of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Nutrition at Tufts University. As one of over 20 Feed the Future Innovation Labs, the Nutrition Innovation Lab pursued applied research, built institutional capacity for analysis and policy formulation in dev

eloping countries, and supported individual and institutional capacity development through training and formal education. Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy served as the Management Entity for the Nutrition Innovation Lab from 2010 through 2021. The Jordan Nutrition Innovation Lab is an associate award of the Lab and will continue through 2026. JNIL aims to generate evidence on the impact of the USAID-supported Community Health and Nutrition (CHN) program and build academic capacity to support research on optimal health and nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women (PLW) and children under two in Jordan. JNIL is achieving these objectives through rigorous research and capacity building activities in the realm of maternal and infant young child nutrition (MIYCN). We’re still accepting proposals for Learning Labs!

These short half-day workshops will be held on 2/20 as part of our Second Scientific Symposium in Amman, Jordan. Topics of interest include:

- Writing a winning research paper/publication
- Formulating research questions
- Conducting dietary assessments
- Using STATA to analyze nutrition data
- And more!

Are you part of a Jordan- or MENA-based academic or development institution? Submit a Learning Lab proposal today for the chance to share your expertise with a unique group of policymakers, program implementers, funders, students, and academics active in the MIYCN sphere in Jordan!

Each Learning Lab session will focus on a specific topic or method related to performing research on maternal, infant, and young child health and nutrition, and will take place on 2/20 as part of our 2nd Scientific Symposium in Amman.

If you are a Jordanian researcher passionate about maternal, infant, and young child nutrition, submit your abstract to be considered for oral and poster presentation opportunities.
