Rewell Society

Rewell Society The calling card of Rehabilitation & Welfare Society’s (Rewell) says poverty is not a necessary evil and through collaborative work we can eradicate it.

Jordan-based Rehabilitation & Welfare Society is a gender-neutral charity focused on eradicating poverty through skill & Knowledge acquisition programs. We cooperate & Support vocational and technical training. We also develop and conduct various awareness and educational programs on labor rights and gender equality.

The Rehabilitation & Welfare Society (Rewell) was founded by Mohammed Ayyash Mulhim (1927-2015) in 1992. The Society is a crowning achievement of a long life spent advocating labor rights and democracy in Jordan and Palestine, as well as labor rights advocacy in Arabian Gulf states. The charity started with simple financial charity for many whose lives were interrupted by the Gulf War in 1990, many of whom had lost everything. With the numbers of those affected by the Gulf conflict increasing, the philanthropic effort grew and changed. The charity started arranging training and guidance to help Jordanians find jobs. Today, this is what the charity continues to do, arranging through cooperation with donors vocational training and also arranging micro financing for small projects. More recently, the charity, which recently reformulated its core strategy, has restuctured and added new members to its managment and elected a new Executive Board.
