المنعة المناخية تبدأ من الصفوف الدراسية… حيث يتشكل وعي الجيل القادم.

تُجسّد شراكة مشروع طبيعة مع أكاديمية طقس العرب (أرض) أهمية التعاون الاستراتيجي مع القطاع الخاص كركيزة أساسية لتحقيق أثر مستدام. فمن خلال الجمع بين خبرة الأكاديمية في التوعية المناخية والتعليم البيئي على مستوى المنطقة، وحضور ميرسي كور الميداني وشبكاتها المجتمعية، نعمل على إحداث تغيير حقيقي ومُستدام.

معًا، نعمل على إيصال مفاهيم التغير المناخي وإدارة مخاطر الكوارث مباشرة إلى الطلبة في ذيبان ومليح والأزرق ووادي موسى، من خلال تزويدهم بأدوات عملية، مثل ألواح الطقس التفاعلية، لفهم المخاطر المناخية التي تواجه مجتمعاتهم والاستجابة لها وتحويل هذا الفهم إلى عمل.

هذه الشراكات لا تقتصر على تنفيذ أنشطة، بل تسهم في بناء أسس لمجتمعات أكثر وعيًا وقدرة على التكيّف مع التحديات المناخية في الأردن. 🌍

The Tabeaa Project's partnership with ArabiaWeather Academy (Ard) is a strong example of why strategic private sector collaboration is at the heart of what we do. Ard brings unmatched expertise in climate communication and environmental education across the region, and by combining that with Mercy Corps Jordan's on-the-ground presence and community networks, we are able to create cumulative, lasting impact.

Together, we are bringing climate change awareness and disaster risk education directly to students across Dieban, Mlaih, Azraq, and Wadi Musa, equipping them with practical tools, including interactive weather boards, to understand and respond to the climate risks facing their communities and translate that knowledge into action.

Partnerships like this one don't just deliver programmes, they build the foundations for a more climate-resilient Jordan! 🌍

نظّمت منصة "كريدت بلس"، بالتعاون مع شركة "إكسبيكتيشن ستيت" وجمعية البنوك في الأردن، ندوة تعريفية حول حلول تمويل سلاسل التوريد، وذلك ضمن إطار برنامج تطوير إنتاجية المشاريع المتناهية الصغر والصغيرة (إقلاع)، الممول من حكومة الولايات المتحدة.
حضر الندوة ممثلون عن البنوك في الأردن حيث جرى التركيز على الدور المحوري للقطاع المصرفي في التعريف بأهمية تمويل سلاسل التوريد، بهدف تعزيز السيولة ودعم المؤسسات متناهية الصغر والصغيرة. كما أبرزت الندوة مزايا تمويل سلاسل التوريد للبنوك، من حيث تقليل المخاطر عبر التمويل القائم على الفواتير، وتعزيز استقرار سلاسل التوريد، بما يُرسخ مكانة البنوك كدعامة رئيسية لاستدامة سلاسل التوريد المحلية وتطوير بنية تحتية رقمية للتمويل التجاري في الأردن.
تهدف هذه الندوة ضمن مساعي برنامج إقلاع، من خلال أحد شركائه التنفيذيين – شركة إكسبيكتيشن ستيت، لتعزيز الحلول التمويلية المُقدمة من قبل المؤسسات التمويلية للمؤسسات المتناهية الصغر والصغيرة في الأردن.
Credit Plus platform, in collaboration with Expectation State and the Association of Banks in Jordan, organized an awareness seminar on Supply Chain Finance solutions within the scope of the Informal Livelihoods Advancement Activity (Iqlaa), funded by the U.S Government.
Attended by representatives of Jordanian banks, the session focused on the role of the banking sector in promoting Supply Chain Finance to enhance liquidity support for micro and small enterprises (MSEs). Discussions also focused on the advantages banks can gain from Supply Chain Finance, including financing opportunities based on verified invoices that reduce risk, and improved supply chain stability, reinforcing their role in supporting sustainable supply chains and advancing a digital trade finance infrastructure in Jordan.
The session is part of the Iqlaa’s efforts, through one of its implementing partners – Expectation State, to improve financial solutions for MSEs in Jordan.

يُعدّ يوم الأرض تذكيرًا بحجم التحديات التي يفرضها تغيّر المناخ، وبما يمكن تحقيقه عندما تُمكَّن المجتمعات من الاستجابة للمخاطر والكوارث التي تواجهها.

في وادي الصدر، أحد أكثر الأودية عرضة للفيضانات في الأردن، يركّز عملنا منذ عام 2022 على بناء هذه القدرة من خلال إنشاء سدود كابحة في وادي موسى، لحماية المجتمعات الزراعية الأكثر عرضة للمخاطر من الفيضانات المفاجئة التي تهدد سبل عيشهم في كل موسم مطري.

وبمناسبة يوم الأرض، نؤكد التزامنا بمواصلة هذا العمل، حيث نظّمت مديرية زراعة لواء البترا، بالتعاون مع ميرسي كور ضمن مشروع طبيعة، جلسة توعوية استهدفت مزارعي وادي موسى، وذلك تحت رعاية عطوفة متصرف لواء البترا، ومثّل عطوفته في الفعالية مساعد المتصرف السيد فهد أبو نوير.

وهدفت الجلسة إلى تعزيز الممارسات الزراعية لدى المزارعين بما يسهم في بناء قدرة طويلة الأمد على مواجهة الفيضانات. وهي خطوة نأمل أن تُلهم المجتمعات المحيطة للسير في الاتجاه ذاته، في مواجهة الكوارث. 🌍



Earth Day is a reminder of what’s at stake, and what’s possible when communities are empowered to respond to the disasters they face.
In Wadi Sadr, one of Jordan’s most flood-prone valleys, our work since 2022 has focused on building that capacity by developing check dams in Wadi Musa to protect vulnerable farming communities from the flash floods that threaten their livelihoods every season.

On the occasion of Earth Day, we are reinforcing this commitment. The Petra Directorate of Agriculture, in collaboration with Mercy Corps under the Tabeaa Project, organized an awareness session targeting farmers in Wadi Musa. The event was held under the patronage of the District Commissioner of Petra, represented by Assistant Commissioner Mr. Fahd Abu Nuwair.

Today’s session aimed to strengthen farmers’ agricultural approaches in efforts of building long-term flood resilience. A stance we hope will inspire surrounding communities to follow suit, because nature remains our strongest yet underutilised tool in the face of disasters.🌍

يواجه الأردن ضغوطاً مناخية متزايدة حيث لم تعد درجات الحرارة المرتفعة، وتزايد شدة الفيضانات، وتفاقم شحّ المياه مجرد توقعات مستقبلية؛ بل باتت تعيد تشكيل ملامح الحياة اليومية في مختلف أنحاء المملكة.

استجابة لذلك، أصدرت منظمة ميرسي كور الأردن، من خلال مشروع طبيعة: رفع منعة و استجابة المجتمعات للتغيرات المناخية، نشرة معلومات بعنوان: التحديات المناخية عبر مختلف المستويات.

تقدّم نشرة المعلومات هذه قراءة مبسطة تجمع بين مستويين من الفهم:
🌿أبرز الحقائق الوطنية حول الفيضانات وموجات الحر وشحّ المياه في الأردن، مع توضيح كيفية تطور هذه المخاطر وتداخلها.
💡 نتائج على مستوى المجتمعات المحلية من إطار قياس القدرة المجتمعية على مواجهة التغير المناخي(CRMC)، توضّح كيف تتشكل المنعة المجتمعية تجاه التغيرات المناخية عبر محاورٍ مختلفة.

معاً، تؤكد هذه الرؤى أن تحقيق أثر فعّال في العمل المناخي يتطلب الانطلاق من الواقع المحلي، بالتوازي مع تعزيز الأنظمة التي تدعم منعة مستدامة على المدى الطويل.

Rising temperatures, intensifying flash floods, and deepening water scarcity are no longer distant projections; they are already reshaping daily life across the kingdom and placing increasing pressure on communities.

In response, Mercy Corps Jordan, through the Tabeaa Project: Strengthening Climate Resilience in Jordanian Communities, has published an information sheet: "Climate-Related Challenges Across Scales."

This information sheet brings together two complementary layers of insight:
🌿Key national facts on flash floods, heatwaves, and water scarcity across Jordan, highlighting how these risks are evolving and intersecting.
💡Community-level findings from the Climate Resilience Measurement for Communities (CRMC), highlighting how resilience is experienced across different dimensions.

By connecting these two levels, this information sheet sheds light on where systems are under strain, where strengths exist, and where action is most needed.
