Mixed Sports Day Support – Report Description

On Saturday, February 28, members of the our Leo Club supported the ex*****on of a Mixed Sports Day designed to bring together students with and without disabilities in an inclusive, empowering environment.

The activity was hosted in partnership with the Special Olympics delegation that recently represented Jamaica at the Leadership Summit in Italy, strengthening the link between youth leadership, inclusion, and adaptive sports.

The event took place at Alpha Academy, beginning at approximately 8:00 a.m., and featured a series of mixed‑ability sporting activities aimed at promoting teamwork, confidence building, and social integration. Club volunteers assisted with event setup, athlete coordination, activity facilitation, and general support to ensure smooth ex*****on throughout the morning.

Participation from club members was encouraged to ensure strong representation and to reinforce our commitment to accessibility, youth engagement, and inclusive community development. Additional volunteers were invited to indicate their interest in attending.
